BA Surgery 420cc & 390cc

5 weeks post-op

So, tomorrow marks 5 weeks. The swelling on my right breast has gone down (sometimes it swells again but no as much) PS said this was because my right is my dominant hand. Also, I talked about my concerns of size difference between my breasts and it turns out 420/390 are only the models so I actually have 425cc left 375cc right. So technically I now have a size difference of about 20cc besides my obvious ribcage deformity. So things should look less uneven later on.
I was so scared of going too big, but I have to be honest sometimes I feel I should have gotten at least 50cc more. I guess since I was sooo used to seeing my self with so much pushup and padding all the time that I hardly can see them larger. I always said to my sister that that was what I wanted, but now and then wish i had gone a little bit bigger. So if you’re thinking of going with breast implants to get the look you have with the padding consider going a bit larger, I can tell you I was 80% sure I didn’t want to go larger, so really think it through.
My only other concern is that I’ve been reading that textured implantas don’t drop as much. We’ll see in a few more weeks.
I now only use the surgical bra at nights but still only got 2 bras at H&M for the next couple of weeks in case they change a bit.

3 weeks post op (today is 3/22/18)
L-420cc
R-390cc
I can´t recall the profile but as soon as I get home I´ll check, I do know they are not high profile.
So it´s been 3 weeks since my surgery. It has been a rollercoaster, I feel really stressed and depressed that is the reason I havn´t posted any updates. I´ll try to keep this short. I´ll spare you the details in recovery since they are basically the same as anyone else´s.

The complications:
My surgery was thursday the first. I had drains to help with the excess fluid. At first all my contact was through the anesthesiologist, (after realizing he failed to let me know so much on the recovery I decided to stop contacting him). So I contacted him on sunday because my right drain (my larger side) was clogged since saturday morning he told me to go in on monday. The PS assitant unclogged it and told me to go in on wednesday to have them removed. During this time my right side looked huge. I went to get my stitches removed on the 13th. The PS said that because of the fluid that was not drained from my right breast it was still swollen and that is why the size difference is still sooo noticeable. He said that he felt confident that with time this will be less noticeable. His logic is that they are both sitting at the same height, are dropping pretty even and that my areola seems streched. But my areolas were asymmetrical to begin with, sooo thats my concern.

I know that if I post a question here all the PS will tell me to wait and to have patience, or that my breasts were asymmetrical to begin with and implants only inhance that asymmetry. But thats the reason he was supposed to use different size implants. And though I know they can´t be identical I wanted more symmetry.

It is really hard for me not to wonder what if he accidentally put the larger implant on my right? I know he has 6 years experience in plastics, I´ve seen his work I did my research but he has to have some complications, what if I´m one of them. It took my 9 years to save up for this surgery I am so terrified I wasted so much money and went through all the pain and still the difference is so noticeable. I know I have to be calm and patient but we all know that that is near impossible.

Once everything is healed and you know exactly what your areolas look like he can go back and do a donut mastoplexy to make the shape of the right match the left. Don’t stress on that, easy fix!

Pre-op

So, today was my pre-op. My PS is going with 390cc on the right and 420cc on the left, he said based on my height, and my shoulder, hip width the ¨400cc¨ guidline was the best choice. He said he isn´t going for the 70cc difference because the results can be somewhat unpredictable, and he rather keep the left a bit smaller than risking the right to become the smaller one since I´m "already used to the left being the smaller one". He says that I may have a harder time adjusting to the change, if besides the over all volume change, the right becomes the smaller breast. He also said he´ll be doing a very small lift to my right breast, which I had never even considered.
I´ve been taking Vitamin C three times a day starting 2 weeks prior to surgery (under my doctors orders) to boost my immune system and help minimize risks of infection. Also since it´s a great antioxidant it helps with the recovery. Three days prior we started with ulsen and the night before I´ll be getting an injection of diprospan (also under my doctors orders).
My surgery is at noon and I should be admitted at 11 a.m. He said I should have a light breakfast (yoghurt and a fruit) before 7 a.m. He described the surgery as you go in you sleep for an hour you wake up and magic you´ll have breasts. I think it still hasn´t sunk in.

I hope you are healing well! I am the same size as you (height, weight, measurements and also have scoliosis with one breast a little larger than the other). I went for my first BA when I was 20, had a child at 27 and a revision at 34. My first BA was 450cc saline and I was approx a full C. Fast forward a year I was a D with fairly significant dropping of the implants but no capsular contracture, just the weight made it occur. After pregnancy and growing watermelons the implants were more laterally displaced and I had ripped one of the pockets. Revision was 750 cc saline and they looked great until 6 months. Dropped significantly (again) and now have slight capsular contracture giving more of an appearance of "ball in a sock". I'm now looking to do a another revision and am fearful of going too small. I would really appreciate any updates you have, as the cc's in which you are electing is what I'm thinking of downsizing to. Please keep us posted!
hi, sorry I thought I had posted a reply. I hist saw I posted as a comment. I posted an update today.
hi! Recovery has been a bit hard. My PS decided on leaving drains, but unfortunately my right drain, which is the bigger side, clogged. So now the difference between both is more noticeable do to swelling an liquid on the right and a faster recovery on the left. My PS said that he is confident once i’ve healed the difference will be less noticeable. Over all i’m happy with the result just wish i’d gone with High profile instead of moderate. Would you like a picture now with the swelling and size difference or once the swelling subsides?
