Starting my research!

Hi! I’m just starting out on my BA journey, and I want to document as much as I can so I can get some advice, have something to look back on, and also help anyone else! I don’t have a procedure date yet, but I’d ideally love to have it done by the end of 2018.
I’m 5’5”, 135 for reference. Coming down from ~190lbs, I decided I’m going to go through with the surgery I’ve been wanting and thinking about for years now, breast implants! I’ve always been self conscious about the shape of my breasts, which I’d describe as mildly constricted or tuberous. Honestly, if they were perky and teardrop shaped, I’d probably never have thought about this, but since they’re not, I want them slightly larger since I’ll already be going under the knife. I hate how they look generally all the time, unless hiding in a bra.
I’m currently a 30DD, which when I tell people that, they always tell me I’m measuring incorrectly since my breasts look small. They’re 30DD. I want to go up maybe 1-2 cup sizes with the same band.
I haven’t been to any consultations yet because I don’t feel ready, research wise, but I think I’m getting to the point of needing to ask professionals (or at least people with experience) questions and I don’t have people like that in my personal life. I’m thinking I’ll need to get a lift along with the implants to achieve the shape I’m looking for, due to my oddly shaped breasts, but who knows. I’m hoping not, because $$$$, but willing to pay if it’s needed.
Additionally, I have a scar under my right breast and a knot on my sternum due to an accident I was in back in April. I’m hoping both of these will be less distracting once I have my dream jugs.
Going to eventually post before photos for input on my breast shape and hoping for people to chime in with similar shape! Hope I’m doing this right!

First consultation done

I just finished at my first consultation and once I left I thought of so many more questions. I went to see Dr Buchanan in Tampa. It went well! I’m really surprised with the sizes that I was picking. I figured based on peoples before/afters I was seeing here I would be picking something in the high 300s-400s but wow. 150 looked large on me! He told me that my best bet is to pick a highly cohesive silicone anatomical implant due to me being shape conscious and persistent about getting a teardrop NATURAL shape. I told him that I don’t want them protruding from my chest far but I want them to still look large. He recommended to go low profile or moderate. My breasts asymmetrical and there’s at least 50cc but likely 75cc difference between them and I liked how it looked to have 150cc on my right one and 225 on my left. But it sounds so small! Like, if I go with a low profile vs moderate profile implant, will they look smaller than the sizers that I tried on?? I should have asked and I f’d up. I tried on a 250/325cc and they felt so heavy and large on me. I don’t think I want that. Maybe something in the middle if it’s possible. Also, he did confirm that I’ll need a Periareolar lift to go with my implants with I expected. I feel really good about it so far but of course I’m going to do a few consultations to make sure I’m getting all my answers.
I'm so glad you decided to start your review! I wish you all the best on your journey and can't wait to hear more!
