They Have This Down To A Science - Happy With My Decision
ORIGINAL POST
Eisenberg is the One!!!
WORTH IT
From the free consultation to the first post-op appointment, I've been so pleased with my choice to have Dr. Eisenberg handle my breast implant surgery. His staff also made scheduling and communication so easy and pleasant. Their office feels like family and it made me feel comfortable immediately.
He provided so much information at the consultation and welcomed all of my questions and concerns. Based on other consults I've had/read about, I was planning to have sizers placed in my sports bra to determine the right size for me. Dr. Eisenberg has a much more realistic way of going about this at the consultation. He found previous patients with almost my exact height/weight/measurements and asked that I tell him if their implants looked too big, too small, or just right. By the end of the consult, we were both confident we knew the size and look I was hoping for.
Once I called to confirm I wanted to schedule my surgery with Dr. Eisenberg, the process was clear and I had no worries only excitement! Because he specializes specifically in breast surgery and clearly has an amazing relationship with Nazareth hospital (where the surgery takes place), my surgery was scheduled less than two months after my initial consultation. I was prepared to be waiting months, but this was not the case. Of course this depends on how you pay for the surgery, but they also detailed numerous options for me to make payment at the end of the initial consultation. I believe what I paid was extremely affordable, especially considering how personable and professional he is as a doctor.
My pre-op appointment was fast and easy. I first went to his office to be given all my pre and post op instructions as well as the scripts for my medication. I was then sent to Nazareth hospital a few minutes away for bloodwork which was again quick and painless.
The day of surgery was a breeze. I arrived to the hospital 1.5 hours before surgery was scheduled to begin. Time flew by and the staff, nurses, and anesthesiologist were all so friendly and kind. Because of my trust in the hospital and Dr. Eisenberg, I was not nervous at all. The anesthesia was given to me through my IV so I was out like a light a few seconds after being rolled into the operating room.
When I woke up, I was in a post-op room with nurses checking on me regularly. The anesthesia was wearing off slowly so it took a while to feel awake enough to start talking but a nurse was by my side the moment I spoke offering water and crackers/cookies. Once finished two cups of water and ate majority of my cookies, I was awake enough to sit up and go. The hospital staff was so well coordinated in timing me waking up with my mom pulling the car around and getting me in safely. I thought I would be very numb or in a ton of pain and would need to be taken to the car in a wheelchair, but I was fine! With the assistance of the nurses to just make sure I didn't fall, I walked out of the hospital just fine.
I slept for the car ride home, and once I was home I felt way better than I thought I would.
My surgery was on a Friday, and I felt fine by Monday. I never took the narcotic pain medication and never felt the need to. I wasn't trying to be a hero, the pain really wasn't at ALL as bad as I anticipated and the non-narcotic pain meds were more than enough! I also thought i would be sleeping stiff on my back for weeks or months and even on the first night of surgery I was laying more on my sides like I prefer. I just had more pillows to help cushion myself. I'm now almost two weeks post-op and I feel great. Still following all of Dr. Eisenberg's post-op instructions but I really thought I'd be bedridden and dependent on others for at least a week! And that hasn't been the case.
Overall, I'm so happy with my decision choosing Dr. Eisenberg. He's great, his staff is great, the hospital was great, and I felt comfortable every step of the way. They have this down to a science (obviously lol) but they really just made me feel so welcome and accepted and heard and cared for. I don't know why you'd go to anyone else if you're looking for some sort of breast surgery in the area. All these reviews about Dr. Eisenberg that I read before my consult and surgery made me feel confident with my choice and here I am writing one myself. Can't say one bad thing. Thank you to Dr. Eisenberg and his staff. I 100% recommend him!
