Hello how are you feeling? I am due to have surgery next week with Dr.Shifrin. I am thinking about getting butt implants with liposuction. Can you please tell me how the process will be? Are any tips you may have. Thanks

Oh I forgot to ask where did he place your implants?

Felling really well now. The first couple weeks for me were not fun due to drainage bags and then soreness. The only advise I can share is to take care of the drainage process afterwards. Also be sure to give your body enough time to heal before you get back to everyday life. This is a painful surgery afterwards. As your muscles basically get cut open to place in the implant. Not at all like breast implants. For your next question...Intra muscle placement.

Looks like you’re healing really well! I hope to have the same surgeon and have it done in September. I live about 50 miles from his office.

I thought about Stanton as well in the beginning of my search. His surgery’s certainly have a strong following and a lot of exposure on this site. Dr. Shifrin not so much. But I am not sure why as he does excellent work. I just think more midwestern folks prefer to stay private about their surgeries than out west. However having said that Shifrin has people from all over travel in for surgeries as well. I for one would never want to deal with plane travel after this surgery and really there is no reason to search outside to Shifrin. He knows what he doing. You will appreciate only being 50 miles from his office cause after the surgery you need to get hauled like cargo on your stomach.

How is the scar?
June 20, 2019
Scar is still healing but doing well. Dr. Shifrin only uses one center of the crack incision vs two like some others on RS.

What about the drain scars? Can you notice them?

Scar looks great. How long is it?

6 week update

T and A
I recently had my 6 week update with Dr. Shifrin and all is well. I am very pleased with the results as well as the communication offered by Dr. Shifrin. He is a busy surgeon, as you can tell by the typically busy lobby, but that tells the story that he knows what he is doing. He communicates very well and was genuinely concerned that my expectations were met. We started this journey by researching on RS and found Dr. Shifrin. After an initial consult he was my choice due to his experience with butt implants as well as his location. This is not a surgery I would have wanted to fly for. The pain is crazy in comparison to breast implants, but t least for me took about 4-6 weeks to start felling normal again. I would definitely recommend any potential butt implants patients to check out Dr. Shifrin. He knows exactly what he is doing with this procedure.
