I am so happy to be at the two month post op mark. For me this means I get clearance to do allllll the things I have missed. Working out, sleeping on my sides, wearing a real bra!! I have my post op check up next Tuesday.
My right side is still high and has not fully dropped. I literally wake up every day and look to see if it has overnight lol. Will wait to see what PS says however he will likely tell me it’s a process, I am still healing and to give it more time. I can see that it is rounding out but it’s so slow. The left one, it looks great.
The advice was to keep paper tape on my scars for 5-6 months. I have to say my incisions look amazing. So small and they have healed nice. Ladies paper tape is a miracle worker for scars.
I no longer have any pain and they are softer by the day. Starting to feel much better in my own skin. I am super happy with my size. I will admit that some times I have boob greed (who doesn’t) but I wouldn’t change a thing. They are easy to dress down or play up.

Week 3
MMiller37February 19, 2021
Not a lot of change for me this week. My right breast is extremely sensitive. I think it is nerve pain but even the bra against my skin hurts. It’s driving me crazy. I also still have some numb spots above my incision. Which look great! I was pleasantly surprised to see how well they are healing.
I feel slightly discouraged by how high and tight they are still. I know it’s a game of patience. I did however have some fun trying on bras and tops.
Hoping this next week brings some more changes.

Looking better each week. Beautiful in the tops. Have they dropped into the lower pocket yet? Sorry about the sensitivity. Consider using arnica gel. Its helped me. I bet your confidence is high

Thank you! Feeling better these days. One has dropped, my left one. My right was is slow. I am right handed so perhaps this is why? The sensitivity is probably the most annoying part of my whole recovery. It's all the time. I hadn't considered arnica gel. That's a great tip I am going to go look for some.

Hi!! I am right there in the same boat as you! Our results look exactly the same as well haha! Yours look so absolutely beautiful and I cannot wait to see your final outcome! I was taking pics constantly to see ANY change and wasn't. I felt my mind was playing tricks on me at one point and I had to stop lol. Focus less on how I look and more on how I feel. Hoping your comfort comes back quickly! Mine are riding so high still, I am 3 week PO as of today so also hoping for at least sooooome change. Something my surgeon said was 'sometimes they can drop overnight' which oddly gave me some peace of mind lol. Probably won't happen with me but at least knowing that stuff like that can happen helped. Sending hugs! Xoxo

Thank you for the message! It's now the great waiting game for us! It's the worst isn't it?! Lol I am soooo impatient. My right is still really high but I think I can see a little drop. But I think I have a few more weeks before righty catches up. I am 4 weeks today and I am feeling much better. Excited for your results, I hope you love them!

How are you feeling now? A few weeks later??

Hi! Soooo much better. I have no more pain. That nerve pain was driving me crazy! I am still a little numb under my right nipple but I am also still sitting high on that side. My left is dropping beautifully. I plan to do an update at my two month mark.

2 week mark
MMiller37February 12, 2021
I have hit the two week mark. Slowly seeing some shape take form! I feel way less tightness but wow is my right one sensitive! Although they are taking their sweet time dropping I am feeling better. Still hate sleeping on my back. I keep trying to turn on my side. My tail bone goes numb.
Also I really miss working out. My PS is strict with 8 weeks before workouts can resume. These next 6 weeks are going to be hard.
I have zero bras besides my sweet surgical bras (those are just the worst) and a couple sports bras. I wonder when is the right time to shop for new ones?

Have you tried sleeping on the couch? Getting a bed pillow and proping it up on the arm rest. Lay with your back against the arm rest and pillow, the drape your legs length wise across the couch. Then you can lean your head to the side to sleep while your chest stays upright. That's my 2nd option for sleep when not on the chaise lounger.

I think I got my first solid night sleep last night. I have built a wall/cocoon of pillows. It pretty much takes up the whole bed. (Sorry to my man who is literally pushed to the smallest corner of the bed ha!) I have also slept a lot of my couch too.
How you feeling?? Any more settling?

Ive just been wearing the sports bras that open front. Not fashionable, but keeping the breasts tight and in the healing position. Im alternating between 3 a week.

Somehow I keep deleting my comments. I can see such a difference in your photos! I am eager to work out as well and my plastic surgeon said I could at three weeks which is in two days. I am questioning this in regards to chest and core work specifically planks and Chaturanga's for yoga and ab work. I don't go back and see him until next week which will be four weeks postop. I've mostly just been walking on the treadmill but plan to increase things this week. I went and tried on some sports bras yesterday. I think I will be a 34B or small 34C. That is just by my own measurements.

My pectoral muscles are still pretty tight so maybe I should be waiting. It is interesting when one PS says 3 weeks, one says 8, and some say 12! I need more guidance.

I found that interesting too. So much different advice out there. My PS said it's because they don't want to increase your heart rate for chances of bleeding. I am so curious what yours tells you at your recovery. I keep starting at my equipment...promising it I will be back haha.
BUT we will be so beach/summer ready once we are all healed. I am pretty happy with the timing of doing this in the winter.

I am in the same boat with sleeping...when did your PS say you can go back to sleeping on your side?
Also, I noticed you still have the gauze. When do they remove that? I have an appt tomorrow and is day 4 post op where I thought they said they remove my gauze and put on steri strips? Maybe I misheard her though!
You are looking awesome!!!!

8 weeks of back sleeping for me! That seem to be the recovery mark from my PS. After 8 weeks I can ditch the surgery bra, sleep on my side and workout again. I have this date circled in red on my calendar!
I removed the steri strips from surgery at the 2 week mark (I think the steri strips are still on in these photos) and was told by my PS that the best way to reduce scaring was to keep the incisions taped with paper tape for 5-6 months. No scar cream would be needed. So now I am wearing paper tape until it falls off and just replace. Interesting to see all the different PS recommendations on here.
