31yo, nursed 4 years, under muscle 355cc silicone implants size AA to size D

After nursing for so long my average boobs turned into flat, wrinkly, empty flaps and I felt so self conscious and depressed about it. I decided to reward myself for nursing and get implants. I went to Dr. Ian Lytle in Dearborn, MI and couldn’t have been happier with him and his staff. I just went back to him for a mini-abdominoplasty I’ll review later...
The implants I decided on were Mentor MemoryGel Smooth Round Silicone. I liked the round vs. teardrop because I was worried about them possibly moving/rotating and looking uneven. I chose smooth vs. textured because I just felt like textured would cause irritation or thicker scar tissue (just my thought, not sure if that’s true or not.) I chose the MemoryGel because they’re thick, kind of like gummy bear texture, and if they were to rupture or crack there wouldn’t be any materials leaking or moving through my body, it would just stay in the same spot. They still feel squishy and natural and (I think) much more durable.
I chose under muscle because I have thin skin and didn’t want them to look fake. The only downside is they push toward my armpits when I flex my pectoral muscles and it creates some separation/pulling in the center, but I don’t do push-ups or body-building poses in front of people so this isn’t a big deal to me. For a couple weeks I wished I had gone bigger but I think this separation would be more obvious with bigger implants. I still prefer the natural under-muscle look. I like that they look natural and not noticeable with appropriate shirts, but I can also get good cleavage with the right push-up bra. I feel like Dr. Lytle gave me just what I asked for and they’re very proportionate to my body and I feel very confident now.
Recovery was much easier than I’d expected. I was only off work for a week. Lifting things and opening jars was very difficult for a while. I think I was holding my 1 year old without difficulty after just a couple weeks.
I kept a binder on while I slept on my back to keep them from separating further. I have a wide chest area and was worried I wouldn’t be able to get cleavage so I bound them pretty tight together while healing. After they dropped and fluffed they looked just right to me.
Overall it was DEFINITELY worth it and I think everyone who is insecure about their breasts should consider it. Thanks for reading!
