1 Year out!!!

WORTH IT
I can't believe it's been one year since my surgery. I wanted to make this last update. Honestly, nothing has changed much since the last update, and that's all good. I'm working out as hard as ever with no issues at all. I've gotten some new sports bras, so that really helps with my comfort. Overall I'm happy with the size, even though I was so freaked out at the start. They've definitely grown on me and don't look too big for my frame. I am still wearing between a 32D-32DD (started at a 34B & not filling it out).

Your breasts look awesome!! I’m looking to get over the muscle also. I did a post with my pics on realself and lot of doctors are so against it for various reasons like increased risk of CC, sagging, rippling etc. I weight lift regularly and just can’t get my pecs to be cut and lose all the strength and stay away from chest exercises afterwards. Can you do push ups/ pul ups and upper body exercises? Was the healing easier and faster for you because the muscles were not cut? Do you feel them sagging? What are you thoughts about over the muscle experience in general? I want 200cc just to have something there. I look pretty much like you after breastfeeding 3 kids just skinnier. Thanks for you feedback!!!
Over the muscle is much more natural-looking.
I’ve been told under the muscle is more natural looking ? Here look very nice and natural.
Thank you :) Under the muscle is usually more natural looking because you have the muscle to cover up the roundness of the implant where most people see it - cleavage! I'm lucky? enough to have extra breast tissue from being stretched to all heck from 2 kids, so the implant itself isn't easily seen.
Thank you! I like them more than I thought I would. My goal was to get back to where I was pre-kids, but I ended up slightly bigger than that, just to fill out the tissue I have from them getting gigundo post-baby.
I can do all upper body exercises with no issues/discomfort at all. The only time I really feel them is lying on my chest, in which then I feel like I'm lying on 2 balloons. They have not sagged, but I feel this is due to my surgeon making sure we chose an implant to fill out my existing breast tissue. If I went with a smaller implant, he said I would have needed a breast lift, or I would have been left with the "ball in a tube sock" look. I do believe I had less swelling and discomfort following surgery, and recovery was faster with over the muscle. I would say following surgery it just felt like I was very sore from a lot of upper body exercises. It was originally planned for me to have under the muscle because my surgeon thought I didn't have enough breast tissue to cover the muscle, but during surgery he saw I had enough. I believe the fact I once had boobs and that they were just deflated from breastfeeding had to do with that. I do worry about CC, but hope with me being a year out and not having issues is a good sign.
I read through your post, and surgeon comments because I was curious what they had to say about it as well. With under the muscle implants, you won't necessarily need your pecs cut - I can't remember why it's only sometimes, but I do remember looking at that pre-op. I suggest you work with your surgeon to determine what's best to get to your goal of just having boobs again. I found out our boob goals are somewhat rare, so make sure you are clear that you don't want to be Pamela Anderson. And it's not all about the cc's, but the projection. I think having some loose skin helps if you want over the muscle, but your existing skin will basically determine how small you can go. I hope this helps. Best of luck on your journey, and by the way you look awesomely chiseled.
Thanks for taking time to comment! I appreciate it! I start panicking thinking i will lose all the definition I have now without being able to work out with no restrictions which under the muscle leads to lot of times. Lot of posts talk about having weird feeling or pulling etc trying to do chest exercises and just quieting it afterwards. I’m kind of hanging in the air with what I want more my body look and keep lifting or boobs. Also have to think about the chances of it going wrong, complications and revisions... So basically trying to figure out the way to have both. Thanks again for your helpful feedback!
Sure thing! Ultimately it's your decision if you want them above or below. Not that I know this for sure, but I suspect Beach Body's instructor Autumn has over the muscle implants, just so you have an image of the other end of the spectrum for size. I saw one of the doctors mentioned bacteria may be one reason for CC. My doctor didn't use the Keller funnel, but was extremely careful to not transfer any bacteria with the implants.
I have just come across your feed and seen your photos. It had uplifted me! I had a starting point almost identical to yours 34B ish and loss of volume. At the moment I am freaked out big time as they look sooooo awful and swollen and enormous snd yuck! Really hope they turn out like those beauties! Congrats
Oh I'm so glad my progress photos have helped you! I was looking back through them recently and I couldn't believe how swollen and huge they were! I too freaked out and my husband thought I was crazy. It took me a long time to accept them (at least 6 months) I think mostly because I wasn't used to seeing myself with boobs anymore, and I thought I looked ridiculous. Try to stay calm and know that they will gradually become the boobs you're happy with :)
Wow! 6 months? That’ll be me too, I’m sure. But really they look so perfect on you in the photos. What height and weight are you?
I'm about 5'2" and 120lbs I was very self conscious about people noticing them too. I'm so weird haha
You sound just like me! My husband doesn’t really get how I could spend all that money yet not want anyone to notice I’ve had them done.
And DID anyone notice??
Not that I know of. No one said anything and I didn't notice excessive boob stares haha I made sure to build up my bra with swimsuit pads leading up to surgery so they slowly grew ;)
Smart girl! I didn’t do that.... :(
Hi there your stats are the same as mine.. I will getting 300cc in September I bf and expressed milk for 2 babies.. you look amazing and it’s good to see the size! I am going over the muscle too.. feel abit confused about most ppl going under the muscle.. did you get smooth or textured implant? How are you feeling with them in? Thank xx
Hi! So exciting! Mine are smooth, not textured. I still like them. They’re not too big and definitely not too small. It almost looks like I have a push-up bra on in a bathing suit. They don’t cause any issue with exercise either. Well wishes!! :)
Thank you! I also don’t want anyone to notice mine.. but I think certain ppl will who have commented on me being small chested… yeah I know, don’t ask!
This is for me and my husband to enjoy.. I’ve always been small but when I was younger it didn’t bother me much as they were perky! I hope I look like you!
I’m flattered :) I hope you get exactly what you want! I ended up stuffing my bra with bathing suit and sports bra pads one by one leading up to my surgery. You could try that ;)
You look great! Very natural, and not so overdone like so many people choose to do. Who was your surgeon?
Thank you :) Dr Carpenter in MD. I found him by chance and so happy I did. Great surgeon

3 Months PO

I had my 3 month post OP appointment this week and everything looks good. I inquired about a smaller implant size, only because I still feel like they’re a hair too big for my size goal. He said he’d worry if I went to a smaller implant, that I would need a lift - and I’m not up for that. The only thing I don’t love about the size is high impact exercise, but even before surgery I had a lot of bouncing because I had excess skin. I’ll just need to find a better sports bra, I hope. Incisions look/feel good and overall, I’m very happy with the outcome, especially not having to need a lift! Looking forward to filling out my bathing suit this summer :)

Your breasts look really good, the doctor did a great job
Thank you! I agree :)
Hi. They look amazing and you look the same as I do before your breast enlargement. I to have breastfed 2 babies and now loose skin and no volume at all. Did you have your surgery in the UK? I have been to two surgeons. One here in UK that suggested just the implant and then another in turkey who said a lift and implant?? Xx
Thank you :) No I'm on the east coast of the US. So according to my doc, I was on the edge for needing a lift. If I'd gone with a smaller implant (
...I may have had the ball in a tube sock look. You can get away with no lift if your implant is large enough to fill the loose skin. If you're wanting a perkier look, you may want a lift. Hope this helps and good luck with your journey!!
Very natural looking! Great fit!
Thanks! Just tried on a bathing suit top the other day and my husband commented he'd never guess they were "fake" - yay
Wow! They look so natual. Who is your surgeon dr?
very nice. before & after
Thanks :)
There gorgeous! Congrats
Thank you!

Measured 32DD & Exercise

I got measured at Soma and was 34D/32DD, but settled on 32DD for the band size. I have a 34C nursing bra from Soma and I was definitely falling out of it. It’s nice to finally have bras that fit well.
I’ve done some exercising with minimal jumping. Boobs felt fine during and after. I’m sure they’ll feel a bit differently for a run or high impact workout.

Hey!! First, you look great and your boobs fit just perfectly to your body
I am just like you pre op and want to achieve same fullness and projection. What is diameter of your implants? I am a bit higher and heavier then u ;)
Thank you!! Implant diameter is 12cm. I got 300cc, mod plus profile. If you look through my earlier pics there is a page from the online catalog that has the implant stats. Good luck with your journey :)
Congratulations on your results!
Thank you!
Glad to see your journey has been a good one :) You look great. How is the healing and scar? Are you able to lift or place your children on your hips? (You mentioned them laying on your chest in a prior post, so not sure how old your two children are). My youngest is only 21 months and still wants to be carried, so I'm worried about the tummy tuck/pelvic scar healing properly if I still have to carry my youngest around. Did the tummy tuck make much difference in your opinion? From your prior photos, it appeared your stomach was pretty flat to begin with (just a bit of post pregnancy stretch marks). Do the scars bother you or your husband? I have a csection scar and that already bothers my husband... not sure how he'll handle a scar all the way across the pelvic. Thank you for your time :)
Hey! You actually posted this on my breast implant review, so what I'll probably do is post a reply on my TT review.
They look great! Who was your surgeon?
Thanks! I PM'ed you
