Bought my first bras with underwire @ 12 weeks post-op. Have been wearing sports bras (some with compression, some that are more like bralettes) since surgery.

2 Weeks Post-Op
Pumped to be at two weeks post-op! I feel amazing, love my boobs, and ultimately my confidence is high because I’m loving the skin that I’m in more than ever before. I love how modest I look in my clothing yet how attractive I feel while naked. However, I’m aware that this is all given the fact that I’ve been wearing only sports bras. I’m anticipating that with a regular underwire or push-up bra my breasts will look larger.
I’ve been applying my scar gel every night after showering. The long ends of the sutures (thread) are still exiting the incision but I don’t feel them at all throughout my day. I’m currently impressed with the positioning of my incisions - directly in the crease. They feel very smooth on the outside but I can palpate the internal scar tissue. I’m cautious when stretching/reaching because it’s at my incisions that pain arises, if any. My surgeon did an amazing job here!
The discomfort from the various activities I listed in my 1 week review are virtually all gone. At this point I’d be comfortable going back to work as a waitress. I do sometimes feel pain along my sides at my ribs/lateral breast area and as mentioned, along the incisions. But that tightness of my chest muscles has subsided. This is evident as I can freely move my arms, push/pull things, and sneezing is no longer excruciating.
What’s kind of trippy is that when I bend over I can feel the weight of the implant shift to my upper breast pole. Inferior side is still numb-ish. I have feeling, it’s just not as sharp as it once was.
Days 8-14 have been nothing more painful than the days after getting your nipples pierced. I do think that I missed the whole “shooting pain/my nerves are reattaching” phase because I’ve been fine.

Your incisions look amazing! I wish mine looked this good and I'm one month post op! Btw your boobies look great too!
Thank you! Some days the incisions look better than others but overall I'm happy! You're still early in your recovery journey, I'm sure your incisions will disappear in time :)
Did you get sub-muscular? Sub-glandular? Sub-fascial? Regardless they look great!
Hi and thank you! I got sub-muscular.
Thanks! Do you do much upper body work? Any restrictions you've been given on particular activities or exercises (especially post healing)?
I don't do any upper body exercises, - I'm naturally very lean so I choose not to. My surgeon said I could resume working out/running at 4-6 weeks post; I just personally decided to @ 8.5 weeks and that was only for leg/butt exercises. At that time, lifting heavy plates (55lbs) was fine. If I had wanted to, I would've felt comfortable doing high impact exercises (no restrictions) at 7 weeks post while wearing a supportive compression bra to avoid bouncing!
Awesome! Do some arms/upper-body on this end, but not as much as lower. Sadly can't run due to a disability, but can do bike and elliptical without issue, and it sounds like that wouldn't pose much problem after the first few weeks.
Yeah just wear a well supported compression bra so that there's no bounce and you should be good. And just be cautious of stretching/reaching too far. It maybe took two months for the discomfort of my stitches and sliced pectoral muscles to go away. If you choose sub-glandular my surgeon said recovery is a little quicker with regards to those ^^
Thank you! Your sharing is incredibly helpful :)
