9 days post op explant!

Hey guys! I’m now 9 days post op and starting to feel so good. I want to admit the 7th day was abit tough after getting home after the post op appointment, my whole body was sore, chest was painful. I tried to do abit of food shopping which really made me tired. I think over the 8th day mark I really started to feel a lot better and the pain has now gone. My muscles feel tight and randomly tense sometimes which I can kinda feel the “stitches” pull. It’s nothing to worry about I’m trying to rest as much as I can. But it’s good to know my muscles are working and healing. The skin on my breasts has already started to firm up abit and I’m so happy for that. It’s only going to get better from here. But yes definitely don’t do anything until your passed 7 days! I was thinking how easy it was and now little pain I was having then boom... sooo sore :. It only lasts a day and it went away quick but lesson learnt, don’t rush back into things quickly. Give yourself at least 7-9days. I’m still abit bruised. But overall VERY happy with my decision to explant. I even managed to sleep on my side for abit and it felt so good! Here’s some new pictures too! The incisions look amazing! On my last update I said how I changed to a normal sports bra.. I think that also contributed towards the pain slightly.. as I washed the compression bra.. when I put it back on the pain went anyway! So ladies, the compression bra is very important! I will be wearing it until the 2 week post op mark I think.. just to be safe. But I’m so looking forward to being 6 weeks post op and to wear nice bras again :) thank you all for you support! Also for you who were asking.. I was a bra size 34A before 300cc sub muscular implants.. 34D after... now explant I would say a 34B :) yay.

6 days post op!

Had my post op appointment today to check that everything is healing good and the nurse is very happy with how it’s looking! I had the skin tape removed from my incisions and I’m so surprised how good it’s looking it’s so neat and the scar is so thin compared to my last breast surgery, it’s amazing. My right breast seems to be more “concave” than the other. I’m hoping they will start to fluff up abit. I’ve been trying to keep hydrated to help the skin heal. But I’m very pleased. The nurse told be to rest and not to do my exercises for at least 6 weeks as my muscles will take a while to go back to normal. I’m only worried about losing my strength as I do like to work on my yoga but I know it will be worth the wait. Does anyone have any advice for me to help my breasts fluff up? I’ve been massaging them everyday. And today I’ve changed from wearing the compression bra to a normal sports bra which is a lot more comfortable:) looking forward to the final results as I know it’s still very fresh. I’m alittle bruised still but I haven’t needed to take any painkillers for the last couple days! Amazing :)

1 hour post op! Explant!

Waking up was the best feeling. Knowing it was all done. The surgery only lasted about 35 minutes! I’m in no pain at the moment. And very happy with the results. They look at little deflated but that’s expected. Now for the healing to begin! But I feel so much better already! It’s amazing. A weight has been lifted.. “literally” And also knowing that each day will get better and better! In a month or so my breasts will fluff back up back to “normal”. The surgeon is coming in to see me soon to fit my compression bra which will help. They have given me codeine painkillers to take home with me. But I find out soon when I will be discharged. Overall it was definitely worth it. I will keep you posted on how the healing goes and how my natural breasts will form back again. Thank you for all your support! This journey has been a life lesson. And it feels good to be 100% me again. Just knowing in 6 months time my muscles will be strong and healthy again all good. It will be interesting to see how much they will change. But even now feeling the skin it’s no way as bad as I thought it was going to be. I’m Very thankful and happy!
The surgeon also recommended that when I’m home I should massage my breasts everyday to help them regain shape. I’m not worried at all. I have faith in my body. Positive and overwhelming happy to have explanted. As I’m writing this the morphine is starting to wear off and I feel alittle bruised. Taking it easy as I remember the 3rd day post op can be abit uncomfortable. The incisions are so neat!! Yay! Good job Dr Mark Solomos. Thank you for listening and understanding.
