World Class Doctor in Wesley Chapel
In order to convey my “qualifications” to review a plastic surgeon, I want to give you a history of my experience. I’ve now had four breast surgeries; my first set of saline implants under the muscle in 2001, an exchange to high profile silicone in 2013 with a full lift, and an exchange to a much smaller moderate profile silicone implant in 2019. During the 2019 surgery, I also changed from under the muscle to over the muscle. Side note: Do not ever let a doctor tell you there is no correlation to capsular contracture by going above the muscle, there most certainly is.
I had a capsular contracture within four weeks of going above the muscle which is why I chose to explant with Dr. Fakhre. That brings us to August 2020. I don’t really even know how to describe the level of talent, empathy, honesty, and skill I found in Dr. Fakhre. I would say he is not just exceptionally knowledgeable and skilled, he is world-class. I would put him up against any of the “famous” world-renowned plastic surgeons found throughout the world. Two of my three previous surgeons (those ones who went below the muscle), were fantastic and also top in their field, in their geographic area.
I had phenomenal results with those two previous surgeons. That said, I would say Dr. Fakhre exceeds their level of talent that also goes beyond his geographical area. When dealing with a traumatic experience like capsular contracture (no one wants this to happen after spending that much money!), it’s nice to have a surgeon who is honest and upfront with you as Dr. Fakhre was with me. He said there is no reason to try and revise, once your body has had a capsular contracture the chances go up significantly, even when all of the right precautions are taken, and new advanced techniques are used. This wasn’t new information to me, but it certainly was the first time a surgeon didn’t try to convince me to do a revision. I had several other surgeons tell me how unhappy I would be if I were to explant, how the scar tissue would be horrible, etc. They were wrong! I love my new natural size and the results are well beyond what I expected.
For one thing, in all previous surgeries even with the two superior surgeons, I had quite a bit of swelling and some bleeding. Granted, I had implants that stress the skin to some degree and when explanting you don’t have anything foreign in the body. But I did have a full en bloc procedure which isn’t easy on the body and still causes quite a bit of trauma to the soft tissue etc. Well, I didn’t have any bleeding through my tape or bandages. At all. I have never had that happen before, it was amazing. Even better, I had so little swelling it’s not even worth mentioning. In fact, most of the visible swelling was probably from the saline fluid drip they give you during the surgery. I took pain meds for a day and a half. That’s it. My scars look amazing already and I am only 2 weeks post-op.
I just cannot express how amazing Dr. Fakhre and his staff really are. Everyone of the staff were absolutely delightful to work with. They always made me feel that they were invested in my well-being. It should also be noted that he has his own personal surgical facility. This is a HUGE bonus in a plastic surgeon. I have been so fortunate that two of the three previous surgeons had their own surgical facility. Needless to say, when the time comes to do anything future plastic surgery, I can assure you I will go directly to Dr. Fakhre.
