Consider replacement during the explant procedure
ORIGINAL POST
Explant Without Replacement
Earlier this year I discovered a large lump in my armpit. A biopsy revealed that my lymph node contained silicone from my right 13 yr old implant. It had ruptured most likely 6 months prior during my last mammogram.
Because I was so concerned about the silicone in my body, I opted to remove my implants without replacement.
I am thin and also have zero natural breast tissue. When my implants and capsules were removed the end result was very disappointing. I am 3 months post surgery. My breasts have become permanently attached to my chest wall. Only a new implant will correct this outcome at this stage, unless I have a lift which will only make it flat. I wanted to share with those who may also have little breast tissue, to consider replacement during the explant procedure.
