WORTH IT
Firstly, a huge thank you to all of you who took the time to post and discuss your experiences, I would never have done it without you!
I am 44, 3 kids all breastfed (before implants) and I have had breast implants for 13yrs, 240cc under the muscle. I am small built at 164cm for 50kg so that made me a 30D/DD.
I think I enjoyed them at first but recently started to hate those implants: they looked way to big and one had changed shaped due to CC.
David Floyd was amazing: he took me through all my options, made suggestions but listened to my wishes and concerns. Took me through the possible complications but also gave me hope that I would look ok and patiently showed me pics of similar shape to mines.
Even his first point of contact, Sheila is wonderful: quick to respond and extremely patient!
Why David Floyd is the absolute best: I told me I would be happy with capsulectomy, no need for removing enbloc (being Covid time, I wanted to be in and out as fast as possible from hospital). Well he managed en bloc anyway! Another proof of professionality and that “he gets it”, the histology report is done automatically.
Now almost three weeks post op: mostly I am ecstatic about the softness and warmth of my tiny, shrivelled up mini-breasts. But sometimes I panic that the concave ridge above my breast won’t fluff up, or I had to stop myself from crying hysterically the first time I tried to get dressed to go out (nothing fitted me!). Also I cannot think about my husband who is a real “bobby-guy”; he is being supportive but I have kept my bra on at all times!
Also, I had this idea that I would be wearing padded bras and slowly ease into my new flatness but for the first few weeks Inhave had
to wear the special post op bra, and really fiddling with padding and other bras was not an option!
I will update you with more pics in a few weeks, in the meantime praying for the mystical fluffing!!

Thanks for sharing your journey. You look great and I know other ladies said fluffing can sometimes take up to a year. So be patient as you can see the change in the few pics you posted. You could eventually try cupping after you completely heal. Take care and happy continued healing dear.

What concave ridge? I really can't see it. I think you look good for such a short time. I'm in a similar situation, had mine for 10 years, out 2 weeks ago (270 ml) with capsular contracture and it's a bit o a scary process waiting and hoping it's going to get better... please keep updating.

Thank you lovely! Are you still wearing those binding post op bra? I am dying to get into anything a little more flattering, that will help!

Stay strong. You did the right thing. I had implants for 20 years- 2 sets. I just had my explant this year. 51 3 kids later.. it was time. The. BII was too much. Plus mammograms and sonogram with dense tissue are easier to read now. Yes boobs are fun... But so watching your kids grow. If you aren't healthy... Not worth it.

Thank you! How long before yours settled and stopped improving?

Your story sounds similar to mine im having my second explant soon. Could you tell me symptoms you were experiencing & did they all go after explant

I'm not sure if I'm not still improving now. February will be a year. Things can change over 2 years from an operation. Weight gain or lose. Lifting weights and exercise can alter a look. Beauty is in the mind. It might take years to convince a person( I am exhibit A) but eventually we need to learn that if it's only our tits that make our ego we will lose too much in spirit.

Week 6 Update

Humorous220250
Six weeks later and my breasts have started to fluff up, and I get now what this is about: it doesn’t mean that breasts get any bigger (you can see from the pics that size is roughly the same now as right after explant) BUT they get firmer and fuller, which might not come out from the pictures, but feels wonderful!
I massage them every day, it feels amazing and I love it. Tried cupping but I find it a little painful, will give it a few more weeks before trying again.
Now that I am out of the post-op bra, it helps that I can play around with different bras: with a good push-up bra, I look almost the same as with implants (clothes ecc) and I don’t have to worry about having a different look, and the huge advantage that I can remove the push-up bra (unlike implants!) before laying flat on my tummy at night- pure bliss!
I didn’t think I was experiencing BII but I do have tons more energy now, needing on average a couple of hours less sleep. Also I am recovering much faster after training, I had assumed because of aging I was aching for days after a short jog or a barre class. That’s gone, I can go everyday now and no soreness!

I think I am still improving, found the courage to buy a bikini and LOVING how it looks, not even padded! I do have a slightly padded bra to wear from time to time though! (Sloggi zero-feel is AMAZING!)
I picked up my daughter from the airport, she had not seen me since the surgery and said “Wow Mom you are so easy to hug now!”. Made it all worth it!

I've been feeling great! I've had some ups and downs with how they look, they don't look as good as yours, that's for sure! I'm trying to stay positive and remember that it's only been 3.5 weeks since the surgery.

You look beautiful.. I would give anything to have so much breast left ;o)
Had my explant in december and am all flat... could you please tell me what you do the "cupping" with? Maybe it will help me to mystically fluff up too.
Thanks for sharing!

Thank you! I posted a video about cupping, I hope it helps but again, not really sure either if that’s how it’s done!
I think for me with very little tissue, exercise helped more than cupping. Getting those breasts muscle activated gives it a tiny bit of a fuller look, as there is no tissue there it show prob more than on our friends blessed with more breast!
Are you happy with your explant otherwise? Best of luck x

Thanks for the video.
I am very happy to have explanted, I had capsular contracture in 2014 and had a revision in 2016.. getting even bigger implants as advised.. not a good idea. Then this Summer fluid built up inside the capsule on the right side and because there was concern about BIA ALCL I have had both removed now forever!
unfortunately my right breast looks quite deflated and there is very little tissue left.
But I don´t regret the implants being gone, no more worries related to them, just me myself and I!

What a good riddance! How could we put our health at risk like that, don’t know what I was thinking! Well said, I am also enjoying me myself and I :)
