Breast Implant Removal, Fat Transfer & Lipo Journey

Doctor said I need an upper back lift now which I would have to pay out of pocket for and my skin is stretched from having implants even though I had a breast lift. So the best outcome would be another $14k, surgery and a big scar across my back. I’m 5’4 144lbs and was 140 day of surgery, I have never been overweight and the skin does not hang over… I was thinking a back lift seemed extreme and I really can’t fathom spending another $14k when I look exactly the same, just without large breast implants. Doctor agreed to fix the Lipo of my thighs and hips free of charge if I did implants and or back lift but of course it is not free because I’d be another surgery and $14k into him. I am just so unhappy that the promises of a lifechanging surgery not being fulfilled. He said I needed to lose 10lbs. I left feeling terrible about myself and let down. I think he should have OFFERED to fix it free of charge as a revision and do what I paid him to do to begin with. I had a couple telephone consults with him after this and I don’t really know why they wanted to do this as I had spent hours there the last time trying to get them to listen to me and understand I was not happy I had paid $25k to look the same and be told to lose 10lbs and give more money. I was thinking an upper body lift was too extreme and that I would just go with implants for $8k and he said he would fix the Lipo of thighs and hips. After talking to my husband and sleeping on it, we decided I needed another opinion. I didn’t trust him to do the surgery. He was so reluctant to accept responsibility until I showed proof of side by side before and after photos I had. I have documented this entire journey with a photo journal and he does not have permission to use my photos. Even after seeing he did not do the work as promised, he did not want to fix it, I would have to pay for another surgery when if he didn’t do it the first time, why should I be giving him more money?! There should be a partial refund policy for these situations. I literally was duped. It didn’t feel right and I am seeking a second opinion.

They have been rescheduling me for my follow up care a couple times now and I am finally getting in to see the doctor. He did not see me at my last follow up, I haven’t seen him since a follow up close to my surgery. Since not being able to see him I haven’t been able to show him my sad droopy side boob breasts and how bad my lipo looks. I am hoping so much that we can fix this. Still leaving my stars on the review though I am unhappy with my results, because I don’t know what he will say tomorrow. I had such high hopes from all the promises I was made and how much money I spent. We will see!!

I am not updating my stars just yet as I am not fully healed- I am updating on my results now at 5 months out. I am pleased to report I am still without the breast implant illness symptoms and pain I was in before my implant removal. I am not happy with how the lipo looks. We discussed "side boob" and "back bra fat" and I was told this would be gone. I was promised cleavage, no more side boob and the removal of back fat. It seems to look terrible. Back fat and side boob still there. I am only 5 months out so I am hoping this can change. It’s ugly- So much so I cannot wear regular t-shirts or you can see it. There is also the lower portion of my back where he put fat in and said it would give me a better slope rather than a shelf bottom, but it is a pocket of fat and hangs over leggings where it never did before. I plan to discuss this with Dr Mowlavi at my next appointment at the 6 month mark and see if he would correct these things as they are not satisfactory. I still stand by my 5 stars at this time and have not had any negative interaction with Dr Mowlavi or staff at all. Still healing and hoping things improve!
