To continue on with my recovery journey these are my breasts 9 weeks post implant removal and breast lift (mastoplexy).
I’m slowly regaining nipple activation and sensitivity but it’s understandable that they are not as reactive to temperature or stimulation as pre surgery given what they have been through. I’ve been told that they will over time gain greater reaction and sensitivity as my healing continues and have been encouraged to massage them with an oil they provided and use an inverted nipple aspirator on them every night for 5 minutes to help improve blood flow to the area.
I’ve had a few people ask if I’ve had implants out back in and no this is all my natural breast tissue which feels really nice after living with implants for 13 years.
Scars are healing nicely but to be honest I found the wound/scars confronting when first getting the tapes removed but I can really see now how they are going to settle in nicely over time.
I’ve be commencing my first fractal laser treatment in a few weeks time to help reduce the redness of the scar and will continue to post photos of my recovery.

Post Surgery Update
My anxiety building up to surgery day was quite high but the whole process on the day couldn't be on gone better! Craig and his surgical teams communication and interpersonal skills where some of the the best I’ve ever experienced in a medical setting and really helped to ease my nerves about the anesthetic and procedure. Craig spent 45 minutes drawing the pre surgery markings on me just perfect (He even got a laser leveler out for added precision!). During the mapping out process you could really that he was really tapping into the creative zone making sure he was properly mapping things out meticulously.
Surgery was expected to go 1.5 hours but ended up going for 3 hours in total as he learnt that I needed a capsulectomy when removing my old implants. Craig also removed moles around my chest and a bit of lipo around the armpit to improve contour which really showed his commitment to crafting a beautiful work.
When I woke up I had minimal side effects from the anesthetic and when in the recovery ward after surgery, Craig his Anesthesiologist and theatre nurse Trish all warmly came in together check in on me and wish me a good recovery before the finished for the day. A really lovely a human touch. The recovery goodie bag filled with healing supplants and treats to help reduce bruising and aid in recovery which was a lovely treat and really motivated me to take good care of myself while recovering.
I exited the hospital with drainage tubes in and on the 17/05 had them removed by one of the nurses in Craig’s office which to be fair was a painful experience... but a joy to have them removed to increase my mobility. I also had a HEALITE II session and was given some extra wound care instructions.
So far I’m really pleased with the experience and outcome. There is definitely some pain still but nothing that can’t be managed by appropriate pain medication. I’m wearing my recovery compression garment at all times except while showering which basically feels like a sports bra and just being easy on myself while I recover! What a relief having all the pre surgery nerves out of the way!

Thanks for sharing!
No worries! Hope I was helpful :)
Hello! I'm interested in what supplies were included in your recovery goodie bag; especially the items that help reduce bruising. Do you remember them? I'm having surgery this June.
I was given vitamin c and arnica tablets as the main things to help reduce bruising. Other items in the bag where cute things like peppermint tea, chocolates, toiletries as well as probiotics, two post surgery bras and bandages.
Hope your surgery went well!!
They look great! I also have implants and don't like how big they are so when it comes time to change the implant I'm going to remove them instead. Is this all naturally you? Can't wait for you to post more updates once you're healed. I find it so hard to find good reviews for those wanting smaller or explanations. Wishing you well during healing.
Thankyou! The change and new light weight has been wonderful. I was incredibly stressed before the surgery but it feels so good to have healthy breast tissue and aesthetic result.
It's nice to lay down on my back and not feel animation of the implant under the muscle and I'm so looking forward to sleeping on my stomach again once I'm more healed up xx
All the best with your journey!
Did you get new implants?? Or all natural?
Didn't get new implants put back in. This is just my natural breast tissue. They where still quite swollen in this photo but I've since posted a new photo which shows them more settled.
Wow. Those look perfect.

Breast implant removal and lift (Mastopexy)
Dr Craig Rubinstein will be removing my 13-14 year old silicone breast implants and doing a breast lift (mastopexy) along with some liposuction at the arm/chest area.
Surgery date scheduled is: 12/05/2021
My silicone breast implants where done back in 2007 by a different surgeon and placed under the muscle. After learning in January 2021 that the left one had ruptured I made the decision to have them removed and a lift done.
I thought I'd post my journey here as it might help other women on their breast implant removal and or lift journey.

I'm having the same procedure in June! I've had mine since 2002 and I can hardly wait to get them out! My back, neck and shoulders are in so much pain; I can't stand it anymore! Good luck with yours! :)
How exiting for you! Are you going with Craig Rubinstein? I'm feeling a lot more excited now and less nervous.. keen for a new chapter in my life to begin. I'll post photos post surgery and once settled xx
I'm in Mississippi and I'm actually going to the same surgeon who put my implants in. I'm excited for you!!
Thank you for your post! Coming across your story is identical to mine so it’s comforting to read xx
Glad you found it comforting! I was freaking out when I first discovered the rupture and learnt of needing surgery. Was such a good choice acting on it and feels good to be on the other side of my recovery.
Good luck with your journey xx
Hi! May I ask if you experienced BII type of symptoms?
Thank you for sharing your experience!
I did a lot of research about BII and I don't think I suffered from it to be honest. My experience was more feeling capsular contracture and I believe the implants being under the muscle contributed to neck and shoulder pain. I felt at the end a general feeling that something wasn't right such as a tightness across my chest.. this lead me to get an ultrasound which located the rupture in one of the implants. Hope this helps xx
Very much so!! Thank you
Thank you so much for sharing your journey. I am looking to explant and get a lift so this has been so helpful!
