Implants for 33 years

Explant after 33 years

WORTH IT
Two weeks today. Glad to have these hard, cold 600 implants off my chest. I feel and look thinner and my clothes fit much better. They are improving daily. A bit lopsided and the left has a dent that isn’t showing up in the photo. The wrinkling has improved a lot since last week. For being so large, in so long above the muscle and being 67 years old I know they could be much worse. All in all feeling good about doing the explant.
I was having intense itching of my left breast and occasional pains, so glad that I no longer have either since removal.

You look fantastic! I know you feel so relieved. I’m glad you are happy and sharing with others who may be on the fence about getting their implants removed.
Wow you look so good! Congratulations! Natural beauty! :)
I appreciate your nice comments. Thanks.
I think a lot of people would be thrilled to look like you do after the explant!!
you look GREAT!

Implants for 33 Years

Had my 600cc implants removed 4 days ago. I am 67 years old and have had implants for 33 years. The first set were 250; second 350 and for the last 12 years 600. I have always felt the 600cc were way too large for my small chest. An MRI revealed a rupture so I was determined to remove the implants and not replace them. The implants were above the muscle.
Surgery went well. General anesthesia at Kaiser and it took about 2 hours. Great doctor and everyone was professional and I felt I was in good hands. I haven’t been in much discomfort, just some pain where the drains are placed. I think the bra they have me in is pushing on the drain incision causing this. The drains get removed next week. Although I was not expecting that my breasts would look very good, and was prepared for the worse, i guess sometimes you just cannot prepare yourself enough. I look terrible! My skin was stretched for so long and so much and my age is not in my favor. I pray that every day they will get better. I know from some of the lovely ladies on real self that it is very soon and there will be changes. I am glad that those toxic bags are out of my body. Just hope and pray that they will fluff. I look very flat, wrinkled and deformed. Although I am disgusted about how they look, I am glad I did it. I feel free and more like me without fake boobs and can breathe.

Thanks for your review and posting days after your surgery - I hope you're feeling better soon! Please do keep us posted how you're getting on.

Congratulations!! Apply lots of bio oil and massage into breast in circular motion, works miracles!!
Kiiki, what is bio oil and where can I get it?
Thank you Kiki. I will begin massaging with bio oil today. I need a miracle! Woke up today in tears. I have never seen such ugly breasts. If I could see even a bit of improvement I could be more optimistic. Wish I had removed them years ago when I was younger so I may have had a better outcome. So wrinkled, flat and plain awful.
Any suggestions or positive messages from anyone out there would be welcomed. I will post as they heal and I get brave enough post a before and after.
I don't know if an analogous fat transfer would help you.
I need to take and post some pictures but Not sure if more then a couple are even reading my posts. Nonetheless, it feels good to write and sort of like I am talking to friends, so I still wanted to update.
Had my drains removed yesterday. It did not hurt at all and I feel so much better. I see slight improvements today which is very encouraging. Still flat on top, but somehow not as wrinkled. Today I am mentally so much better then the other morning and I am excited and anxious too see positive changes in the upcoming months. Glad I did not do a lift as recommended. I don’t think it is needed. I meet with my doctor Tuesday and will be curious to hear his comments and/or recommendations. He already is aware that I do not want new, smaller implants, but he previously mentioned that other things could be done if I was not happy with the way I look. I don’t want more surgery, but curious to what his thoughts are.
By the way, I never thought I had any BII symptoms, but I have seen improvements already in my health. Guess just figured I was getting older and that was why things were happening. The slight back pain I was having almost daily—— gone. The daily pain in my finger joints I took as beginnings of arthritis—- gone.
I haven’t read anyone comment on lip color, but this has really amazed me!!! My lips looked very pale, almost white for the last year or so, especially when I first woke up. My skin very pale as well. Could not leave the house without makeup, but now I don’t have to. My skin looks so good and my lips have a normal color. No more ghost white lol. I look so much younger.
Thanks again kiiki for the bio oil suggestion. I think it helps too.
Rosie, thanks for sharing. I am sure many people are reading your posts and would love to continue to receive updates....many of us become so caught up in getting implants initially, and then never think, “What if I want them out one day? What will that entail and what will it look like?”. Thanks for sharing this often unspoken part of the journey. Hope you have peace and optimism as a result of your recent surgery. Best of luck!!
Thank you DallasMommy30s. You are so right and I for one never thought I would consider wanting to have them out. The journey has been filled with highs and lows for me, but being optimistic helps bring peace. Thanks.
