Breast Explant with Fat Grafting 10D - 10A
WORTH IT
5 years ago after years of agonising over my flat chest I had silicon breast implants placed under the muscle. I immediately knew it was a mistake and hated the feel of them. They were definitely too big for me and felt so fake and uncomfortable. I felt even more self conscience over my chest than before and developed severe anxiety. Over the next few years I developed an autoimmune disease and after hearing the stories about Breast implant illness I felt like my health was at risk by keeping them in my body
I’m now 32 and I’ve spent years thinking about having them removed, but was concerned about how I’d be left looking once they were removed. I was told I’d be left with visible scars on my stomach, saggy skin and less breast tissue than I had before and would require a lift after the explant. I found some examples of women who had a nice result from breast explant and fat grafting. After asking doctors on here they all said i’d likely not get a good result with fat grafting alone as I had very little breast tissue to begin with and they all suggested I’d need a lift and suggested getting smaller implants or at least several more rounds of fat grafting.
I was adamant about not getting breast implants again and decided to go for explant and fat grafting (in one procedure) and see the result before deciding if any further procedures were required.
I’m now 6 month post op and I’m extremely happy with my results. My doctor managed to get 300cc of fat in each breast. I definitely lost at least half of that, but I’m told what’s left will stay. They are small, but I love them and they feel like me. I finally feel good and comfortable in my own skin.
The recovery from the procedure itself was awful. Liposuction is no joke and my body was severely bruised and battered afterwards, I’m glad I did it but I’ll never put by body through something like this again. Very relieved it’s over!
I struggled to find many instances of breast explant with fat grafting (no lift) with someone who was flat chested originally so I’m sharing my results.
Hope this helps anyone going through a similar experience.
I’m 6 months post op, the scars were longer than I expected, but they are healing up nicely.
Overall so happy with my results and very thankful to Dr Julian Lofts.

I’m considering this same journey.. only I’m going to wait 6 months to decide if I want the fat transfer.
Your results are great!
