Explant internal and external lift

ORIGINAL POST

Explant due to capsular, lift and fat transfer due to extreme low breast tissue.

WORTH IT$7,600
I’ve had implants since I was 26 one year after having my first child. I lost a significant amount of breast tissue after breastfeeding. I’ve always wanted bigger boobs, although I was very confident in my pre baby body due to small perky breast. They did get bigger after giving birth but they were completely deflated. I referred to them as liquid boobs not even victory secret cold have kept that a secret ????. Fast forward to my 37 self I wish I knew then what I know now that my breast don’t define me. Our bodies aren’t designed to look the same afterbirth. I don’t regret much or hardly anything other than having implants.
Two reconstruction surgeries later. The first one happened 8 years after breast augmentation and a lift for capsular contracture was advised by surgeon “ you are too pretty to take them out and not replace them you will be deformed due to know breast tissue”. Another doctor confirmed it will look really horrid if explant and he can ensure by changing current saline implants to silicone, flushing out pockets and starting medication synthroid to avoid recurrence. So I decided on second go at it and not even 3 months into recovery capsular on the opposite breast as before. True indicator that my body totally rejects all implants.
Currently searching for doctor and finally narrowed down on 1. I’m so longer to have these plastic bags out. I’m just so concerned about going about it the best way beneficial to me my health and body.
I’ve also been doing tons of research and came across Breast implant illness and realized I haw many of those symptoms too.

I’ve finally decided who I’m going to trust taking out my implants which in all honesty is a very difficult decision. It took me a longer time but I feel confident in my decision. I’m meeting up with him on Thursday to confirm surgery Nd set a date.

From my understanding it’s the body rejecting the implants and some experience it and some don’t exact cause unknown. It is the top reason why many women with implants need revision of some can along with rupture.

2nd consultation with Dr. Rehnke moving through with procedure

As before he was very professional answered all questions. A few concerned I had he addressed although not favorable for me he was truthful with his beliefs and technique. One of my concern was a popular doctor on here mentioning losing weight before fat grafting which sounds counter intuitive but his rationale was that it provides quality fat that are less likely to die during the harvest. Dr. Rehnke believes in maintaining body weight or just 1-2 pounds above. Which is okay with me All my other consults recommendations was to over eat on unhealthy food for extra fat. He’s also made me aware again of a new absorbable mesh he’s patented to replaced all implants that I can add along with fat transfer to give shape to the breast after explant. He’s shown me some before and after which looked remarkable. Even use on mastectomy patient who did want implants. I’m not too sure about that as yet. Very terrified of putting anything else foreign into my body.

I think your concern is valid. Sounds like your body doesn’t like foreign objects and I wonder if the mesh will cause you more problems. I’m explanting with a lift and some fat graphing in 6 weeks. My doc has done many of these and never mentioned a mesh. Ultimately it’s your call. Best of luck and keep us updated!

I’m in absolute agreement. I’m praying that this is the last time having to have to deal with my breast. I’m hoping I make the right decision. When exactly is your surgery. I’m booked for 6/4/19. We’re having the same procedure.

Mine is scheduled for May 28th. I haven't like my implants for awhile. No problems with them really, they're just large (350/400 ccs) and don't fit my lifestyle anymore. Hoping the doc can make them look great even though I also have little to work with and they are asymmetrical (that's where the fat transfer comes in). Overall though I know it's the right thing to do. I will post my story and progress soon. Thank you for contributing--it really helps to know we're not alone in this!

I will be following all the best with everything.

Best of luck, ladies. I am having the same procedure towards the end of June, so am getting my ducks in a row. I have 450 in one and 500 in the other. I thought they were too big right from the beginning, but just lived with them for 12 years. I have lost as much weight as possible and am maintaining well. I will post in a few weeks after my 2nd appointment. Meanwhile, I wish both of you the best possible results, and will follow your posts.

Everyone is so helpful on this site. I must have read over a thousand reviews in the last few months and am putting together a consolidated list of pre-vitamins, post-vitamins, scar care, post-lipo and fat transfer tips. I will post those in a few weeks, and maybe it will help others that don't have the time to organize.
