3 weeks post explant surgery (no lift, no FT, surgical excision of suspicious calcifications on left side)

WORTH IT
Hi ladies- keeping you "abreast" :) of my progress. First of all- I feel great. No pain, no aches, I am in the water swimming, kayaking, being active. I will go back to the gym after Labor Day. I can't see any difference in how I look from last week to this. There is still asymmetry and a flat upper pole but I remain happy and I am not obsessing with the size and shape at all. I am SUPER flat in a bikini but I feel light and free and fabulous.

Hey, just looking at your story. They look like there getting better each week you look great. I’m thinking in the new year I’m going to explant. My mind is running all over the place scared of the result. Can I ask I know the breast deflate, do they droop more ? Like sag I mean if that makes sense :-)
Mine are def not droopy but I don't have a ton of breast tissue. Most skilled PS can advise on whether a lift will help with that. I consulted with 3 (ultimately 4) PS and they all said I would not need a lift.
Thank you for your reply , happy healing :-)
You look great!!! Thanks for sharing your story and your experience. I have been experiencing random joint pain over the last year, which I believe is related to my ruptured implants — I want them out. I do believe after reading all these stories of BII, I think they are wreaking havoc on my immune system. I want to feel better. I am doing my explant in 2 weeks. I am scared but know I am making the right decision. It is scary because I don’t look forward to what I will look like without them. Prior to implants I was very flat chested - no boobs and got silicon implants when I was 25. I have had these in me for 28 years. Yikes!!! I am going to embrace my natural self. I am just worried how I will look. I guess they have good padded bras I can wear. Any advice you can offer me to prepare for my surgery?? What to expect post surgery? Was it super painful?
Hope you don’t mind, I just read your story. I’m to petrified of the out come. I’m on RS 24/7 looking at pictures and stories. I’m thinking January for mine as I have a wedding to go to on New Years Eve. I’ve spoke to.a PS about explanation see how they go then look into Fat Transfer if I’m not happy with result . Hope all goes well :-)
Shezzy23- have you had issues with your implants?
Krafty1 I have to say that physically my surgery was a breeze. I ended up not needing drains. I think I only took 2 of the prescribed pain killers then went to Tylenol. I had mine in for 25 years so I totally understand. Just remember to give yourself time to heal and you will be amazed at how your body recovers.
Hi, was just thinking of getting mine out as their 11.5 years old and with all the negative press with them . Made me think while they are still good and look good ( meaning my breast aren’t by my knees yet haha) I know their not for life so hopefully I won’t need a life and I can just get them out under local :-)
Sorry that should say lift
So off subject and super nosey but have you had your moles checked the ones you have look suspicious, please have them checked if you haven't already! Boobs also look good deflated/ best of luck!

2 week post explant

Hi ladies- I am 2 weeks post explant and feeling 100%! Saw my PS this week and got cleared to start upper body workouts and swim next week so I am thrilled about that. My energy and stamina are back and my scars are looking good (this has been an issue for me so we will see what happens). There is some asymmetry but given the excision on my left side I am not surprised and I remain happy with my results. I bought a bikini top and a bralette. I am small- likely a 34A- but I think my breasts match the rest of my body. What is most interesting to me is realizing that all my clothes were purchased around hiding my breasts. I now like how I look in revealing tops- not much to reveal but I look lean and athletic. I am very happy I decided to explant.

You look great! They fit your frame perfectly.
Thank you deedeewee. How are you doing?
I'm doing ok, taking it one day at the time. I'm still trying to adjust to my new appearance and wish that my breast tissue will fluff a bit in time. I'm very flat now and there is a certain amount of asymmetry going on.

1 week post explant

Feeling great and so happy with how I am healing so far! I met up with a friend for a couple of hours yesterday and that exhausted me but it was good to be out and about for a bit. Still having tummy trouble but I am SO HAPPY to be natural again and I cannot wait to go shopping!

Wow you look great! Your breasts seem to be very forgiving after all these years. I had my explant this week and mine look nowhere near yours after 24 years. Much more flat and one nipple is indented. What was your size prior to your augmentation if I may ask? And did the PS perform a total capsulectomy under general anesthesia?
Nevertheless, we can be proud of ourselves, we did it! I wish you a speedy recovery!
Deedeewee I was probably a 32 A- very small. Don't forget I did have the in office deflation before the surgery so that may have eased the transition. Hang in there! Sending you lots of love and make sure to rest and take care of yourself.
also sorry we did not do a full capsulectomy but I was under general. I left it up to my PS as to whether she recommended it based on what she saw and I was fully prepared to wake up to drain but she said my capsules were thin and she opted to leave them.
You look so great and natural!
Thank you so much! It's a scary process isn't it?
Definitely! I have my consultation today.
I saw 3 different PS. They all told me different things! The third gave me the confidence to explant without anything further.
Yay! I'm 11 days post op isn't it great! We are free from the monsters lol your looking great
Yay for you too!! It feels good to be natural for sure.
