My original post has been removed as Dr. Fengs office threatened to sue me if it was not changed. Her office manager, Linda called me and verbally attacked me and told me that I would be “taken down” by their attorney if I didn’t change my original post to fit their requirements. I have never been treated more poorly than I have by the staff at Dr. Lu-Jean Feng’s clinic. Just to be clear, as Linda demanded I include, I had 550 cc’s and breastfed two children, which is why my results are hideous and my own fault. As Linda said, “you did this to yourself”.

Look at the before and after photos and make the choice for yourself on whether or not Dr. Feng is right for you. I hope you make a wiser choice than I did.

I am so sorry for what you are going through! I hope this gets resolved for you. Stay strong!

Yes, Dr. Feng removed my implants and did a breast lift and these are my results. After posting my review she finally called me back and explained that my skin did not respond in the way she expected and that no one else could have done a better job. I will post more pictures as they continue to heal.

Was your surgery an explanation?
February 4, 2016
Yes.

I was thinking of traveling from Australia! Thank you for being brave and telling your story and posting pictures. All the best you and I hope you get a satisfactory out come.

Real self is a great place where we can share our experiences, good and bad. It's sad that you were threatened and treated in such a way and certainly speaks to the character of the clinic/surgeon you went to. I wish you the best and hope everything works out for you in the future.

In my opinion if she was a half decent Dr that ran a half decent clinic they would do everything in their power to make it as right as they could. I'm sorry you have to suffer their poor quality of service. Maybe you should look into your own lawyer for slander and emotional distress. Hold the thought that this will get resolved. Good luck to you.

I agree! Thank you for your reply. This whole experience has been an emotional one for me and unfortunately Dr. Feng and her staff have only made it worse.

In my opinion, she should have offered to schedule you for a revision asap. Can you go to a few consults and get second opinions from other surgeons. I would consider a lawsuit seriously to get money to fix your lift. I know one thing, I wouldn't let her touch you again.

Absolutely agreed!!

its not your fault for trusting her. its her thing, one would trust her. i have seen so many explants on this site. some of dr fangs look great but i have also seen some that are not great. I'm hoping over the next 4 months you also heal. I've seen on here that before 6 months the jury is out as bodies do heal in remarkable ways.
i will also say that i also thought that to go to a doctor who only explants would probably be wise. BUT...dr feng is also so passionate about removing implants, for overall health, that its almost anti and kind of "political" now for her, for lack of a better word. thats fine except when it implies that whatever health issues people have are connected to implants. and there is just no way to know that, until possibly after explanting. and it makes we wonder if they then don't sacrifice the aesthetic job at times, thinking its better to have them out than in, no matter what the outcome - by her comment, you did this to yourself.
which isn't fair as we need to have a clear idea of what we'll go through and be left with to be able to make a decision if and how we want to have any surgery. or we were then misled putting them in without the full reality of implants and then we again feel duped taking them out.
I'm sorry for your stress.
try to wait until 6 months to worry. i know that is impossible but you will heal and then you can do fat transfer and any scar corrections if you want to. dr casselith in beverly hills does some good corrections - as many do.
this isn't a done deal yet.
thanks for posting.

Great reply! I think there are 3 surgeon's who are considered to be the "best" in explanting.........read a lot of their reviews......found them to be overly aggressive in many cases (my opinion) and the patient's who had some concerns about their results....forget about it! All three showed a lack of professionalism and compassion towards anyone questioning their results. I was really surprised and saddened by this.

Wait- I'm confused. What is the over all problem? Are you upset at the way your breast look 5 days after surgery? Os is there more? Because even at 2 months there is so much more change that happens - just be patient- I know this time is stressful but if you did this for health reasons then focus on your health- the aesthetics will come and if you need a re-do then cross that bridge later- you don't have anything unless you have your health- I've been sick for 10 years and know all too well what that means- just be patient.

Oh my...can I just say first that in so sorry for what you are going through! I just had an explant and full lift 3 days ago. I'm looking at your photos and I'm just not understanding why she left so much skin. It looks as though you do have some natural breast tissue and had the excess skin been removed you would have a large A cup without the skin wrinkling. It's almost as though she left enough skin for a c cup. I could understand this result if you had just done an explant, but the point of the lift is to remove the excess stretched skin for a better shape. I have been spending a lot of time in this forum, and it's amazing how quickly many flat breasts fluff up nicely within the first few months. You are brave to do what you did to get healthy, and maybe worst case you could just have a lift revision to remove the excess skin for a smaller shape if your tissue doesn't fill the skin that she left. We are all here to support you through this!

Do you have a copy of the photos from Feng? Ive seen some patients get to see what is removed in the photos (scar tissue, implants, skin etc). I'm wondering... From what I read about breast reductions and mastopexies, there's only so much movement a doctor can do to the nipple before it becomes compromised... When you spoke with Dr. Feng did she discuss how much skin was removed?

Wow, the result is shocking. I'm so sorry about your experience and glad you're fixing the problem with another doctor.

If I were Dr Feng, I'd be ashamed of my handiwork.
The scarring will fade with time, the placement of your breasts has changed, however no excess skin appears to have been removed. In your before photo, your breasts are not overly large nor does the skin appear to be stretched or thin! Sometimes a picture is worth a thousand words and the heavy-handedness of the Dr's practice manager cannot undo that.

Best of luck.

This is just a really unfair comment and wrong analysis of the results. Clearly there was skin removed, and the surface irregularity present has nothing to do with excess skin. It's the quality/elasticity of the skin and underlying tissue that isn't "bouncing back" as is typical. This could be due to health issues or to tissue damage caused by the implants themselves, which is known to occur. Dr. Feng is a meticulous perfectionist - she's known for it, and she's also a consummate professional and extremely caring and ethical. Megan's result is disappointing and I hate that she's going through this, but to instantly assume surgeon error without knowing how the surgery is performed and the case specifics isn't right.

Cameron C, I stand by my comment and analysis of procedure. It is not clear at all that skin was removed. The before picture indicates good skin tone, Megan73007 also appears to be youthful.

I have worked in an operating theatre and have seen many explants, implants, and breast lifts and reductions. I'm well aware of how it should look, how the procedure is performed and what the skin should look like. I haven't seen one as bad as poor Megan's before.

Despite any surgeons credentials, things can and sometimes do go wrong.

Incidentally, do you work for Dr Feng?

Very well said Louisa!

I wish I could say things have improved but if anything I think they look worse as the wrinkles are more defined and sunken in now. I have decided to have another surgery once I am doing having children, so I'm stuck with ugly boobs and never taking off my bra in front of my husband until then. It is still a very emotional issue for me as I don't want to pursue another surgery but living like this is depressing.

I am sorry about your outcome :(. did Dr Feng at least offer a revision? she clearly left way too much skin behind.
January 16, 2018
she didn’t leave too much skin behind if the op didn’t pay for a lift. explant is simply that, explant and remove scar capsule. enbloc capsulectomy does not remove any skin. i went to Dr. Feng and my results are fabulous!

The OP had a lift performed. On her comments in the first picture she says she had breast implant removal and a lift. you can even see the scars from the lift. I believe that Dr Feng should offer a revision free of charge. You had fabulous results but poor OP didn’t obviously. Too much skin was left behind.
