Breast explant surgery - devastating horrific results

Breast Explant (Devastating Horrific Results) Surgery with Dr David Sharp.

History: my implant surgery was performed by a very experienced plastic & reconstructive surgeon, inserted thru areola, behind muscle, no scars.

Post surgery Dr Sharp: botched right breast, disfigured nipple, created MULTIPLE SCARS, permanent MUSCLE & NERVE DAMAGE (numbness/pain).

Leaving a path of destruction of my confidence, self esteem, been unable to work since, instead, regular visits to a professional to cope with the mental anguish, the daily reminder of this nightmare.

The unprofessional manner in which he spoke just prior and post operating was witnessed in disbelief by others word for word.

One month post-op a consult via Skype Call, recorded where I was so deeply upset I could barely speak, Dr Sharp admitted he "wasn't happy with this result"....

NO compensation has been offered at all to date, instead my communication was blocked, his insurer contacted me & I instructed that I was to cease contact with Dr Sharp directly.

My experience with images are on many social groups globally, comments and messages "it was the worst result they've ever seen" "how devastating" "omg, who did that"?

While trying to understand how a surgeon with these 'qualifications' could leave a result like this, I had many consults with specialised surgeons Nationally and Internationally in the following months, who were also shocked and feeling my grief.

I want compensation, my journey is currently being published, with a documentary to follow.

The exemption form signed prior to surgery is allowing unskilled, no due care and attention outcomes.

In face to face consult when questions are asked, lies about the number of procedures he has performed (I have evidence of this), disrespectful, unskilled inexperienced 'plastic and reconstructive surgeon'. AHPRA protected his botched surgery on me. No compensation to date has been offered, i was asked by his insurer to have no contact with him directly. Retribution and Karma coming soon.

why did the right side have such an outcome? Did you have a leaking silicone implant, that he had to do an extensive clean out? Did you have a capsulectomy or en bloc on that side?
It is the side he did first and I believe he had never attempted a full capsulectomy prior to mine, although he said he had. His knife protruded through the front of that breast.
I feel so sorry for you.... why is there not more comments by others in here? i am so worried myself after hearing this story - was planning to do the same, explant, but hasitating now... please update your journey... sending you lots of love and dont give up please.
Dont be afraid unfortunately this happens to a few explants but most are happy with their outcomes, far more than not. Just do your research find the right doctor and stay strong. This poor girl had an unfortunate incident and I hope she is compensated so she can go to another surgeon and have them repair what he did.

Thanks, yes each day is a hellish reminder, with NO COMPENSATION OFFERED! but he went on to build a lavish marbled floor consulting business in Brisbane.
So sorry for you, that you have to go trough this. Do you know if any reconstruction is possible, and any idea wat went wrong? I hope for a beter outcome for you in the future.

a lot of times this kind of outcome is inevitable. a lot of people do have good results, but most don't.
Not sure where you’re getting your info from but most people actually do end up with good results.
Yea people that have a good amount of breast tissue. I've seen many horrible outcomes. Facebook has a breast explant regret group. Many women don't have good results, so I know where I'm getting my info from.

Also i had a very skilled surgeon and did not have a good outcome because of me having very little breast tissue! So the name calling is not needed!
