Monday I have my “consent” appt, the last visit before my surgery. I am nervous but soooo excited to get these toxic bags out. Assumption is along with some bottoming out, they’re also probably ruptured. I have extreme pain in both and constant burning as well (along with a looong list of other awful symptoms). Since I plan to have children in the near future and was advised I didn’t need a lift I’ll be skipping on that. He did suggest I do fat transfer for the volume in the bottom of my breasts where they are hanging. CC are unknown but prior to the implants I was a 32B and now a 34DD which has been entirely too big and uncomfortable for years.

Hi. I’m explant if on June 12th but I’m able to see what my natural breast will look like because one of my implants ruptured. Thank you for posting your journey, it really helps knowing we are not alone. Keep us posted with your surgery and recovery. Wishing you well!

Explant twins! June 12th cannot come fast enough. At this point I’ll take any outcome of how they look over all the health issues. Personally I’m excited for cute bralettes and actually finding tops or dresses that fit! Good luck with yours as well! Lemme know how you’re doing after the big day!

We are explanting on the same day, now I really feel like I’m not alone. At first your skin will be wrinkled but it fluffs out and the skin retracts with time. When my implant ruptured my skin was loose but the skin got tighter and I love my natural breast. I’ve had terrible back pain especially in the morning when I wake up and the whites of my eyes have some spots that I’ve heard may be caused by implants. With my implants I’m a 34DD and wearing low cut dresses or shirts is a challenge because my breasts are so big! With my natural breast I still have cleavage and naturally I’m a full C. Therefore, I’m ready to put these implants behind me and embrace the real, natural me. I told my surgeon to please remove the capsules and he said that if they are really thick or if there are issues with them that he would remove them. Also, when I flex there is some scar tissue by where the incision was made (under the areola) that gets pulled in (muscle animation?) and I showed it to my surgeon and told him to detach the scar tissue and muscle. Also, did you know that you could possibly get a refund from the implants? Some brands like Mentor actually reimburse you for the implants. I can’t wait to get this done except now we are going to spend the summer healing. Keep in touch!

Same! Ready to embrace the natural! I will be having total capsulectomy, fortunately my dr wants to remove them with anyone that takes out implants to avoid further issues. Never heard anything on a refund with the implants! Hey summer healing is totally worth being rid of further health issues :)

Wishing you well today on your explant day! Time to close the implant chapter of our lives. I’m scheduled to go in at 10:30 am and I’m a little bit nervous but relieved that my implants will no longer bother me. Keep in touch.

I hope everything went well for you! I feel soooooo much better already! I’ll do an update when my anesthesia wears off some more.

So far I feel so much better! I have a little pain where my incisions are but overall I’m feeling great. I haven’t had to take any pain meds and I was pleasantly surprised how they looked for being the very first day when I went to shower. I know it’ll get better and better!

You look amazing! Wow, you have so much breast tissue. They will fluff out, trust me. They also look symmetrical. How are you feeling?
June 14, 2019
Thank you! I feel really good about how he did everything! I’m feeling really good today, a little pressure towards the underside near incisions but not terrible! How are you feeling today?
June 14, 2019
I’m feeling great, I’m just taking extra strength Tylenol and antibiotics. The breast that had the ruptured implant for about 1 1/2 months is slightly smaller that the one that had the 1.5 implant. I’m hoping they become more symmetrical as I heal. It just makes sense that the one with the ruptured implant had weeks to retract so it’s “ahead” of the other breast which had the implant up until this week when I explanted. Other than that I’m so happy that without the implants I’m a full C and I never needed implants to begin with! If they are still asymmetrical after about 1 year post op, I may do the fat transfer. Where do they take the fat from? Does the fat stay put in the breast area once it’s transferred or do you have to keep doing it?
June 17, 2019
Wow you look great! It doesn't look like you even needed breast implants in the first place. Is most of the volume in your breasts natural breast tissue or from the fat transfer? How does the site on your hip where the doctor extracted the fat feel? Is there any deformity at the site? Did he say what percent of the fat you can expect to be absorbed by the body over time? Good luck with your healing!

Thank you! I had more breast tissue than I thought, he just put a little in the underside where my implants had bottomed out and caused some hollowing. He mostly took from my outer thigh and it is very smooth. The fat retention will be very good unless I lost a drastic amount of weight.

I am feeling great! I meet with my dr this afternoon for my post op appt but so far I’m extremely pleased with my results. I have not had any severe pain and didn’t need any of my medication, just a few Tylenol here and there. Can’t wait to see how they look in a couple months!

That’s great to hear! You look great and it’s all you! I’m 6 days post op too and I’m feeling great. I have so much more energy and my breast have bounced back so nicely. This is the happiest I’ve been in years. I’m still sleeping on my back (I’m a side sleeper) so that’s annoying but interestingly I’m not getting back pain anymore and I’ve lost 5 lbs since my surgery. My implants weighed 3lbs total! Strangely, I’m not craving sugar anymore? Also, my skin looks a lot better and the whites in my eyes look whiter.

That’s awesome!!! I’m glad we’re both experiencing so many improvements! I’m still sleeping on my back too, ready to roll on my side tho lol
