WORTH IT
I had explanted in May 2019. The PS I went to did not remove my capsules and my BII symptoms starting getting worse. I thank God I found Dr. Lawton on the BII site. He was able to remove all the capsules and finally I am starting to see improvement in my symptoms. I would highly recommend him. Thank you Dr. for helping me to the road of recovery.

When dealing with en bloc capsulectomy with implant removal it is critical to find a specialist who has performed thousands of these operations; it is equally important for the surgeon to know how to remove the capsule and scar and for them to know how to reconstruct the breasts. Look at photographs. Find out how many and how long they have been performing this operation and what their success is with improving the patient's health and achieving an aesthetically pleasing outcome.

Thank you so much for your update... I am supposed to explant Aug 26th and my ps didn’t want to remove the capsules b/c he does not believe in bii and he said I’d lose even more volume. Told him I don’t care, I have had too many illnesses and I am not coming back for more surgery; I am paying a lot of $ to get everything out the 1st time around! He was ok w/that he is just concerned w/how I will feel about how I look. I am to the point in life where feeling better means waaay more than how I look! Mine are 20yr old under the muscle ....I am Praying there will not be damage to my lungs trying to cut the capsules away from my rib cage. Was your implants sub muscular? How bad was the surgery to remove the capsules? Are you feeling better since capsules were removed? Thank you so much for sharing your story and I hope you are feeling Amazing after explant & capsulectomy :)
