Exceeded my Expectations!

BREAST EXPLANT- After consulting with multiple surgeons and saying MANY prayers….literally sleepless nights unsure of which surgeon to choose…I chose Dr. Gallaher and knew he was the right choice. I had many breast surgeries in the past with a different local Dr. Two surgeries in the past year including an anchor lift. I had grade 3 contracture in one side and the other was starting to contract as well. I had 700cc textured implants. I was ready for a very bad visual as I felt there wasn’t much that could be done to restore my breasts. I am 4 days PO today and I honestly can not believe how good I look. I’m maybe a A/small B. My breasts are going to heal and look so beautiful and natural. Every day I see changes and I can not express how thankful I am to Dr. G. He was confident and pulled through. Chelsea, his nurse has been amazing. The surgery center was perfect, one of the nurses even prayed with me before surgery. This whole experience has been incredible. I will recommend Dr.G and his staff to any and everyone. Thank you so much for exceeding my expectations . I will be forever grateful.

Did you have any breast implants illness symptoms…
August 6, 2022
I don’t think so, but I do believe that is real. I had capsular contracture and fluid around the implants. Textured implants are not good and I think that’s why I reacted the way I did. With that being said, I will never get implants again!

So happy for you! This post is very inspiring to me. I am on this site looking for something similar to me and I am very grateful you posted. I also have 700 cc implants I am looking to remove. Please post more photos. It would greatly help me on my journey. Thank you again.

Hey there! I actually reimplated after 7 months. Mentally it was just very hard on me. Hope you are doing well!

Hi, you look amazing! I just had similar sized implants removed (650cc) this morning and I am in some pretty extreme pain, much worse than when I got the implants put in. Did you experience really bad pain too? And if so, how long did it last?

How are you doing? I did not have much pain at all but some do! I hope you are doing well and healing wonderfully!

Healing great

So far I am doing amazing. I am a 36a and completely healed. It’s an adjustment from a 36e ha ha! So happy tho! I don’t even need a bra anymore so that’s amazing. I am sharing an updated pic. Definitely the best decision for me.

We're you able to stop wearing the compression bra? Yours look great I'm new week out from mine but I had a lift as well so maybe that's why they make me wear it

I had to wear it for three weeks. It was just the white sports bra. Good luck to you

Reimplant

Amandabhembree
In the end I chose to reimplant. I looked very good considering what Dr. G had to work with, but ultimately I was mentally not ok. I am 4 weeks po with a small saline implant and so far very happy. I chose Dr. G for the reimplant and so far things are going great. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

Hi! What made you decide to reimplant? It was quite a shock for me also to go from a 32D to a handful of tissue. I had a lift. Do you have once by chance and were there any complications re implanting? 7 months was long enough?

Yes, I do have lateral displacement which is common. I’ve had 5 surgeries. I am overall happy. I could have never stayed how I was. After healing I just could not mentally handle it.

Did you have one (meaning lift) not once. Sorry for the typo

Yes I did.

Did he remove your capsules when he removed the "shell"?
You will have to ask him if you don't know. You would have a much longer scar. My scar even though it's longer looks amazing. The Dr who put in my silicone implants gave me huge scars, wide ones not long. Both of my silicone implants ruptured and it became life threatening. Btw saline implants are made up of the same 50ish harmful substances as "silicone" That's one of the most important factors in making sure those capsules are removed! If he didn't and you start having health issues long list of possibilities of illnesses you could have. Also saline implants are more prone to mold, however either one can develop it. I had to travel to Murfreesboro Tn. from Knoxville to find a competent surgeon but hopefully that has changed since I had my "enbloc capsulectomy" 5yrs ago.
Best wishes ~b

Thank you for your honesty and bravery in posting for all those of us seriously considering explanting. Much appreciated!

This has been a HUGE life lesson. I do not regret reimplanting for one second. My health is better than ever and most of all, I’m happy! They aren’t perfect because I caused so much damage to myself, but for what I’ve been through they are fine. I would really research and pray about your decision. Don’t fall in to the trap of things you read. You would be surprised how much as a woman those boobs truly mean to you once they are gone. I hope my story has helped and saves some ladies from what I went through
