Breast Implant Removal

I had 240 cc cohesive gel implants submammary for almost a decade. I had no structural pain, or physical discomfort in my breasts from the implants, but gradually experienced a drastic deterioration of my overall health. I become intolerant to nearly every food, product or chemical on earth. I had insomnia, night sweats, heart palpitations, adrenal fatigue, hypothyroidism, low WBC, and much more. My health issues were as labeled "autoimmune." I spent an unknown amount of money working with alternative, allopathic, naturopathic, shamanic practitioners, etc. I had the cleanest diet, the most natural home and products, yet I was still losing the ability to think and function. I stumbled across "My Breast Implant Illness Journey," on youtube and was shocked since I had not heard of this condition. I explanted within a week of watching that video. Explant quite literally saved my life! A year and half later I am thriving and essentially free of all the health issues. My blood work is perfect. My thyroid is back to normal. I am beyond grateful to have a second chance at life. I thank Dr. Churukian for helping me begin my journey to wellness.
I experienced almost no pain after surgery, but did develop a hematoma in my left breast. This was uncomfortable and concerned me regarding the long term outcome of my breast. Dr. Churukian was a super star, and was so patient and calm throughout my recovery process. His bedside manner is second to none! He and his staff were available to me at all times and I felt totally supported during my recovery. My breast required needle aspiration to drain the hematoma several times which was uncomfortable, but not that bad. My left breast was enlarged and took months to heal, but time, massage and nibble suction cups helped it return to normal. One year post explant my breasts looked normal and balanced I am so grateful to Dr. Churukian. He is not only an amazing surgeon, but also an incredibly compassionate practitioner. I will not hesitate to seek out his care and expertise in the future. I hope this post helps you on your journey to health and wellness.

thank you, your look is indeed very normal, like nothing happened before, for me is the decision no lift the best

You look so good! Honestly your breasts look like they never had implants in them! I'm having mine removed after 8 years and I'm not having a lift or anything else done. I so hope they are going to look good and that the skin will retract. If you have any suggestions or advice please let me know.

Good for you! I bet you'll enjoy having your natural body back. Just be gentle & allow time to heal. It was almost 3 months before I could do upper body weights/pull-ups. My final photo was one year post op. You're body knows how to heal! And, if something does not heal as you like, then a cosmetic surgeon can probably fix it.
