Wish I Would've Done It Sooner!

I hated how my boobs were now a 36A/B instead of a 36C. I've attended various exercise classes 2-3 times/week for the last 20 years, and 18 months ago cut out most added sugar and carbs in my diet. I hated that, although my little "donut" below my belly button would shrink, it wouldn't go away completely, and my boobs just kept shrinking from all the exercise. Meeting with Dr. Kevin Johnson changed everything. I decided to get smart lipo on my stomach and flanks, and have that fat transferred to my breasts. The staff were excellent and Dr. Kevin spent way more time answering my difficult questions than most doctors probably would. The surgery itself was a lot more painful than I expected, even after being drugged up with 2 Ativans. Basically, you're not numb when they're shoving the rod up underneath your skin to get the numbing juice in there. Once numb, however, it was pretty smooth sailing. During recovery, days 3-5 were the worst in terms of pain and swelling. I didn't take as much of the Norco as I should have and relied too much on just Advil. I wore my undergarments for the full two weeks and slept on my back for a month. I started exercising around 4 weeks post-op. (walking, then hiking, then slowly added in non-chest exercises). I didn't return to running in boot camp class for 2 months. I think the 4-month photos are way more accurate than the 2-week or 2-month post-op photos that everyone posts. This operation will not lift your boobs even though it seems like that during the first two weeks. My boobs are still kinda saggy, but they look totally natural - just fuller. I'm back to a 36C. The photos are deceiving - the real benefit happens when you can put on a bigger bra and suddenly your cups are all the way full with no gaps. My stomach is totally flat, and the heat from the smart lipo helped smooth out some of my old stretch marks. I still have minor swelling in my flanks (which can last 8-12 mos), so I can't have people grab me there without flinching a little from the nerve pain. My breasts probably retained 85%+ of the volume put in - I think my right breast got 280cc and my left got 270cc. My breasts were shaped differently before the surgery, and the fat transfer can't really change that too much. Dr. Kevin used PRP (platelet rich plasma) treatment during surgery to give the fat cells the best chance of surviving. I think I was a great candidate for this surgery because I had a lot of room in my breasts for expansion, and all of my midsection fat was on top of a lot of muscle. I wish I would have done this in my 30's!!!!
