Post surgery from BFT & lipo: Real, Honest Sharing of Recovery
My surgery was on March 14. Today marks my 5th month post recovery. I didn't want to update too soon because it takes time for lipo to take shape and also the bloatedness to subside. Because I wanted my review to be fair and unbiased based on timeline and stages of recovery.
My thoughts so far (based on my personal experience)
Everybody's journey with plastic surgery is different. Some had great ones while others not so. Even with the same doctor. But hopefully through my experience, you'll learn a thing or two whether or not the doctor is right for you.
Dr B was great pre- and during- my procedure. I was happy with their service and attentiveness and I stand firm with my previous review. I noticed that he has a lot of happy patients when it comes to boob jobs. So I thought since he's the expert in breast augmentation, maybe he'll be a good doc for BFT (Breast fat transfer). I couldn't be more wrong.
Here's the thing, BFT requires expertise of not 1 but 2 specializations: The breast fat transfer itself and liposuction, which involved contouring. I didn't place much thoughts let alone think that having lipo done on my inner thigh would result in much irregularities.
So when you want to do BFT, make sure your surgeon is great at both. Being a body contour specialist definitely helps! Otherwise you'll end up like me (see pic!)
I panicked and naturally I emailed Dr B. He kept saying that I needed go for skin lifting massages to rid irregularities. But this is NOT just a matter of massaging. The bumps WON'T just go away from massaging. These are like botched irregularities because one side was sucked out more than the other. I resorted to mesolipo to burn off the "extras" and I tried endermologie but the results weren't distinctive because there are non-invasive alternatives after all. Only slight difference is seen thanks to my new local doctor (I'm back in my home country)
Also my tummy has irregularities although it's not as bad as my inner thighs here. I had lipo on my tummy and inner thighs btw.
I was upset and depressed. Felt like I spent so much to mutilate my body.
Then I realized that Dr B didn't have many before/after testimonials for lipo and BFT. He had mostly for breast augmentations like Motiva etc. So maybe that's his expertise.
Even though I read lots of good reviews about his liposuction here on real self, I haven't actually seen REAL pics. And when I asked for before/after they only showed me the breasts fat transferred. Not the lipo sites. (I honestly wasn't thinking too much at that time, I think I was also distracted with other stuff on my plate - my bad)
As for my boobs, I thought he would transfer 400cc to each breast. He asked me what was my goal. So I told him a full C.
After surgery, he just transferred 201 cc? or so.... Then I knew the outcome won't be so apparent already. He was playing it too safe ? I asked why did he choose to transfer so little (because I thought he didn't want necrosis to happen or something). He told me because the amount he transfer would have resulted in the goal I wanted (c-cup). This, of course is not true. I only am a B cup and STILL is wearing a B cup. Full B ? maybe close. But definitely not C. And I'm aware that for BFT, usually patients retain 10-20% of the fats (if lucky, 20%)
I took great care. With massages, scars and even sleeping position. I slept upright till this day. Speaking of scars, the incisions were made at obvious places so I had scars I couldn't hide in my bikinis.I haven't worn bikini since then.
Honestly, I didn't know what else to say. I'm speechless I don't want to blame anyone but with surgery, there are always risk and consequences that things won't go your way. So in conclusion, I won't recommend this procedure at all because I don't know which doctor is GREAT in BOTH procedures. But if you want to go for breast augmentations, I have personally seen his great works in his portfolio book at his clinic. Good luck ladies

Best Doc for Breast Augmentation or in my Case, Breast Fat Transfer
I've been doing my research for a while until I decided to go with Dr Boonchai. His expertise is primarily in breast augmentation and I've seen his before/after and reading some reviews online here on this site.
There was lack of BFT procedures but I decided to give it a go based on 1/ gut 2/ his medical background and expertise in breast augmentation.
It was a challenge at first for me to secure a date because he's very popular. When the day finally comes, I was super nervous until I teared up! But Dr Boonchai assured me that they will take care of me and everything will be all right !
Fast forward the surgery day until today where I had my sutures removed, my recovery was fast and smooth. But nobody in real self , ever mentioned about the bloatedness and water retention after liposuction. This was my only discomfort. My breast and wounds heal all right. And Dr and his team was with me throughout the way. Mentally and physically which I appreciate so so much. If I ever go for my second session, I will not hesitate to contact Dr Boonchai again :)
Though this around , I'll probably stay closer to Bonnie Clinic instead of the airport. Because you'll be making 2 separate trips to the clinic (return) for consultation and stitch removal. As for the hospital (Camillan) it'll be in the city center anyway, so this isn't a concern. Remember to book a hotel where it can take care of you for at least one week (room service , laundry). All in all, it's not that bad but you just don't want to exert too much energy for the first week to allow the wounds to heal nicely.
Anyway I will update again on my BFT results after 1 month, and the following 6m to 1y !
