Results Did Not Last.

Unfortunately, for me this was a big expense and a lot to put my body through without lasting improvement. I was determined to try, however!

I used a reputable surgeon in a major city. I am on the low side of normal BMI, and the surgeon had to use multiple lipo areas to get enough fat. The total was under 200 cc's per breast transferred. The surgeon placed the fat nicely, and it would have been a nice improvement, even if subtle, had it stuck. Even if I'd had 50% of the fat maintain, I would feel like this might have been worth it. But within just a few months it was noticeably diminishing. Within a year (maybe less), it was indistinguishable from where I started. I am 2 1/2 years post procedure, wearing the same bras as before, same fit as before.

The lipo areas are a mix of results: some areas I am pleased with (outer thighs, and flanks are nice to have more sleek), others have indentations that are not good (side of knees, banana roll area). I don't worry too much about it because that's not helpful for my mental health, but similar results might really bother some people. I didn't seek out this procedure for the lipo results, and I would definitely not do lipo for its own sake (especially now that I've experienced it), but it is part of the process and the effects need comment.

Recovery from the liposuction was rather painful, much worse than I anticipated. I was swollen from the fluid for many weeks after. The breasts were not very painful, at least to my recollection.

Overall, I do not recommend fat transfer for breast augmentation because you don't know whether you'll be the lucky one whose body keeps the transferred fat.

At first I wished that she had harvested more fat so that I had more cells there for survival, but considering the indentations in some areas, I think she was wise to not get too aggressive with the lipo. I do think my surgeon is competent and I likely would have gotten similar issues with other surgeons because of my body type and personal fat distribution. My surgeon was honest with me from the beginning that there are no guarantees with this procedure.

Just know that for your money and the stress on your body, this is a gamble. It took me over two years to get around to coming back to real self to write this review, so it's hard to know how many others like me simply don't bother. The only reason I'm back on this site is because I'm low-key thinking about implants since the transfer was a fail. Good luck in your decisions!
