Satisfied w/Breast Fat Transfer!

PersephonesDay
WORTH IT$18,000
8 Months Post Surgery
Before-
35" breast
31" under breast
30" waist
35" high hip (measured 2" below the waist)
35.5 hip
5'5" height
128 lbs. weight
After-
36.5" breast
31" under breast
28" waist
33" high hip
36.5" hip
5'5" height
123 lbs. weight
Although I attained a post-surgery 5 lb. weight loss (due to dieting) and this sadly resulted in a 1/2" loss of fat transferred to my breasts, I do continue to be very satisfied with with my feelings about my appearance/ my body.
I was able to gain and maintain a 1" hip increase with the fat transferred to my "butt shelf" and a total of 1.5" (and cup size) increase to my breasts. I lost 2" off of both my waist and high hip. These changes have made it so that my clothes fit well and proportionately. I took a tight dress and skirt out of my closet which I'd been saving for "some day" and they fit great!

Glad you had success. I just had this two days ago and I’m so disappointed. I’m 5’6” 133 pounds and she only put in 110 cc’s on each side. Although my waist looks slimmer, I just wish she would have taken more. For me, it wasn’t worth it.

Ouch....I'm sorry to hear this. A surgery like this is a lot to go thru and then only to end up with insufficient results I'd imagine feels sad and frustrating..

Thank you! Yes it is very frustrating. I will definitely let her know of my disappointment. I am grateful however that the recovery has been easy for me.

Definitely speak up! I have heard stories on this site detailing those times when the surgeon doesn't deliver the results one can end up pleased with. Again, I'd imagine this would be so heart breaking and disappointing. And, I've heard several times on this site of situations when fat was not generously transferred into the breasts. This crap happens. I had different experience. Dr. Person's gave me the result I desired. She did tell me from the beginning not to have too high of expectations with this surgery, and that she purposefully does not overfill the breast. She was realistic. Although I was never able to find out the exact amount transferred into my breasts enough fat was obviously transferred, and it has stayed there and continues to after nearly nine months (although 1/2 " breast size loss per my recent weight loss). She took the time with me and called me after hours to answer one of my many personal questions because at the time she had to get to her next client. When I developed a rash post surgery on an injection site she and Jenny, her assistant, answered my call to soothe my upset and worries. As well, when the first garment the nurse had given me was too tight they found me a bigger one, personally delivered to my home from her husband (and son) to mine. In fact, I was so satisfied that I'm planning to return to have a reverse abdominoplasty and possibly a breast lift. I'm a good candidate for both procedures. Her 25 years of experience was obvious to me :)

Thank you so much for your support! You look beautiful and it looks like the surgery was a success. So happy it all worked our for you. ❤️

Great felts! I also add breast fat transfer and have been satisfied with the one cup increase. I'm curious about the reverse abdominoplasty. Can you tell me a little bit more about this procedure? Is that when they pull the skin up from your belly button to under your breasts? Even though I am somewhat happy with my liposuction, I know I have loose skin from having two children and age, 50. What would be the reason that you would do a reverse one instead of a regular one? Thank you!

My first sentence That's supposed to say, looks great!
October 18, 2020
I learned about reverse abdominoolasty thru a google search. (It doesn't have to do with cutting around the belly button). My surgeon said it's a good option for me because my lower belly is fairly taut and has good musculature, but upper belly is w/ plenty of loose skin. That's not usually the case. There are before and after'a with a google search for abdominoplasty, too. It's hard to notice any troubles in my pics because I took them in flattering light,, but the loose skin and drooping breasts really makes my post menopausal make-over incomplete. I look forward to wrapping my make-over up with this procedure along with a breast lift. Best wishes!

Very beautiful results that exceed your wish pictures.

Thank you so much!

Why are you thinking of a reverse abdominoplasty? You are really smooth on your upper torso. Mine, I could see a benefit, LOL.
When are you getting the breast lift done?
October 21, 2020
So here's my two cents. If I were you I'd go for the full abdominal plasty. Even though you think your lower belly is fairly tight now, it won't be as the years go on. You would probably have good results in the beginning but as you age you might wish you had done the full.
October 30, 2020
Thank you for your insight! Yes, my surgeon said a full abdomin. is definitely an option!

Liposuction/ Breast fat transfer

..... just received some new info. It probably wasn’t even possible to get the 5 pound weight loss from the surgery I desired, because I didn’t have an additional 5 pounds of fat to take out in the first place. It makes me wonder if I should have lost the 5 pounds of weight thru diet and exercise prior to the surgery.

Hi - I am reading your updates with great interest because there aren’t that many women post 50s who are doing this, unless they are getting explants. I also got BFT as an enhancement to a ‘keeping young’ regimen, and am in the 3-4 month post. My thoughts are: You can make yourself crazy if you focus too much on the number on the scale. You are very diet and exercise focused already - are there other types of exercises that could tone you in a way that makes a slightly plumper you work? Also, I was thinking that 5 lbs of fat is ALOT of volume since fat weighs a lot less than muscle/bone so they can’t have transferred more than 1-2 lbs and total volume will decrease by 50% by necrosis anyways. I have the same issue. During this COVID time, I’ve been in recovery and not exercised that much and don’t own a scale (it’s at the gym! Which is closed). I’ve already deflated from the initial plumpness. My plan is to keep the fat but focus on the tone and tightness of my stomach and butt, so that I’ll have the shape I desire. Also because of age, you need to have more fat under the skin than someone younger. I was extremely concerned with the skin on my lips areas tightening up, and they are progressing, but I’m aware I can only push the envelope so much, not being 30 years old. Also my plastic surgeon told me that I could do another round but you never get the volume push as in the first round because the ‘harvest’ areas in someone who doesn’t have much to spare (healthy) is the greatest. Good luck in what you do and stay safe.

LIPO, not lips - a very bad typo.

Interesting! You've validated what I've been trying to understand about what the optimal amount of weight is on my "older body'. I've settled with doing enough working out to keep good muscle mass/tone while avoiding any further weight loss thru dieting so as not to create a crapey-skin effect. I've found that if I go under my lowest weight I begin to become drawn out in my face and not any more attractive at all. The last picture here was before the additional weight loss I underwent during the quarantine. Some people are eating more during COVID, but I find myself exercising plenty and eating less ;) Those first several months after surgery I found to be especially a time to pay attention to all of this. A lot of my fat transfer stayed I think because I took it easy. Thank you for commenting! Best wishes!

You look absolutely stunning, and even before the surgery you had a fabulous physique! Rock on! I'm 50 and considering fat transfer to my breasts, without a lift, so I see you can still get great results without the lift if your breasts weren't too droopy to begin with. Really impressed with your results!

Thank you :) I'd really like to hear how your process goes. I'm nearly one year post surgery and very pleased & contented I chose the procedure and doctor I did. Blessings!

Breast fat transfer

PersephonesDay
For some months after the surgery I continued to weigh in at 128 lbs. which was what I weighed the day of and for the years pre-surgery. I didn’t lose or gain any weight from the surgery. What my doctor took out, she put back in.
Still feeling discontent with my 128 lbs. weight post surgery I put my mind to it and dieted for a few months during the quarantine, and just this month I am now down 5 lbs, weighing in at 123lbs. I’m happier. I feel lighter and since I’m now eating less my digestion and my stomach feels better.
The trade-off is that with this weight loss I also lost 1/2 inch off my breasts. I don’t like this as my breasts are now only 1”” more than they were pre-surgery. (I’ll post some pics at the 8 month mark).
The loss of fat in my breasts definitely feels super sad to me, but it is a trade-off. I like my current slimmer size than the 5 lbs heavier size I was for the years pre-surgery and for the several months post-surgery.
I’m 5’5” so 5 lbs of weight makes a big difference on me, unfortunately it also means a loss of some of the beautiful breast fat which was transferred during the surgery. Although my girls are still definitely 1” larger than they were pre surgery and are really less flat ....I miss the extra 1/2”. This extra fat made quite a difference.
I think the important lesson for me here is that if I were to do this over again I would have let my doctor know how important it was to me that I experience a 5 pound weight loss as a result of the surgery, while at the same asking her to put plenty of fat into my breasts, as she did.
