Worst Experience/result Ever
I don’t even know where to start. My life has been ruined and turned upside down after choosing Bednar as my surgeon. I was 97lbs the day of surgery. He promised me he was “skimming” from several areas and it would not effect my overall shape. I added a couple of VERY conservative areas of my face and was very specific about what he was to do to my face and he agreed to it although he wasn’t thrilled about my request for something so conservative. He kept suggesting to add more areas and I declined. First of all his wife who works there made me feel like a complete idiot for asking if it was considered “full face” because the nurse told me to ask since it was incredibly conservative. She scoffed at me and acted like I was the stupidest person in the world for even asking. She wanted my $5k and insisted it was “absolutely full face”. I didn’t argue and wasn’t haggling but she treated me as if I was. The nurse said “go ask if this is considered full face” and that is all I asked when I presented her with the paper. I proceeded to the surgery day and was taken to a small back room operating room in their office which was unexpected and very odd. I woke up to my entire face having been worked on, he added fat everywhere, even to areas I specifically told him he was not to touch. I actually didn’t realize it until later when I looked back at the post op photos I took of myself. My whole face shape has been changed and ruined with big fat pockets added which I’m now being told can’t be fixed without a facelift because extracting the fat that was placed will make things much worse. I got a horrible breast infection shortly after getting home from my surgery and it was terrifying and hellish. They wanted me to hop onto a 5 hour flight to have him drain my breasts because they said no one else would know how to handle the situation, but I was in no shape to do such a thing. I had to take multiple rounds of antibiotics which eventually cleared the infection. I then started noticing the asymmetry. I started quite symmetrical and I’m now being told by docs I’m consulting that I need at least 300cc’s added to one side to make it match the other. It’s visible through my clothing and impossible to hide. Their office offers zero support of any kind. My lipo sites are absolutely awful, my legs are ruined with large empty pockets where too much fat was removed. There are lines and dents and now significant banana rolls I didn’t have before. He removed so much fat from my lower back I look mutilated and deformed. He took the entire top part of my butt off of my body leaving me with a sharp right angle shelf butt inches lower than where it started. In addition to a sagging butt because so much leg fat was removed it lost all of its support. I’ve consulted docs on repairing this and there really are no good options. Also 1.5 year post op I developed massive lumps of dead fat. I also now have inverted nipples which I didn’t start out with and they’re horrible to deal with. He dumped 420cc’s into my almost zero cc starting point, which I have now learned is simply way too much if one actually wants the fat to survive. So basically I had way too much fat removed from my body leaving me deformed and unbalanced which was all for nothing since too much was injected and almost none survived. The physical, mental and emotional toll this has taken has been overwhelming and seems like a nightmare that will never end. The cost to properly remove the breast lumps is more than the surgery was and now My only hope to repair my face is to pay for a facelift and additional fat transfers to try to repair the extensive damages to my body. But I’m not left with much fat to work with so I do not have much hope in the way of ever looking normal again. This has been, by far, the absolute worst, most devastating experience of my life.
