Recovery tips

WORTH IT
I am now 10 weeks PO, the holes finally healed up after 8 weeks so if you get them you'll need to be patient. I am happy with the shape and size and am now able to apply oil to minimise the scars.
My advice for a smooth recovery:
Rest - the first two weeks especially are very tiring
Move - I was taking gentle walks, doing yoga stretches on my legs and other very controlled and gentle exercise from quite early on
Be careful - try to avoid anything that could cause strain on the wounds
Try to time your surgery for cooler weather if possible, the compression garments get hot
Have help - you'll definitely need it for day to day tasks for several weeks
Lymphatic drainage massages - I had 2 per week for the first 4 weeks
Swelling - don't get too excited, this goes down a lot. What you see in the first week is not what you get.
Take photos regularly so you can keep an eye on progress

Nearly there

Five weeks in and this week has been a lot easier. The breasts are tender similar to before my period comes but that's it. I have removed several stitches from the holes and had an appt with Dr Hamers who also had a go. He is not concerned about the holes at all and they are healing well now. The size and shape is everything I could have hoped for. One more week to the six week mark, will be nice to sleep naked and on my front again - but already they are feeling almost 'normal'.

Congratulations! You have great looking results. So happy for you! Curious, Why are there holes??
Thanks. Some people 'spit' stitches and some don't. I guess my body reacted to them quite strongly as I've pulled out quite a few. Quite normal apparently. The two main holes are at the weaker spots where the scars join, and both have had stitches come out in the last week and are now healing well. My PS said if there is excessive scarring as a result he will fix it, but he doesn't think it will be an issue.

Frustrating week

I've been applying the honey and the healing seems very slow. I messaged my PS and he said there's a chance a stitch is preventing healing, but to keep doing the betadine/honey treatment until I see him next week. Sore/sensitive nipples and a new hole has now opened up on the left breast. I think the right top one is finally starting to show signs of healing though.
Lipo donor sites seem well healed, breasts themselves have a great shape and I love that they don't sag and my belly is flat. Just wish the holes would heal and the tenderness go away. Also it's been really hot here so wearing the compression garments has been annoying.

How do you feel about how the abdomen lipo turned out? One of the PS that I had a consultation with said no fat from the abdomen because it won’t look good afterward. He claims it leaves too many ripples and divets in that area. personally I think that’s absurd if you have some fat there. My shape is similar to your photos but I do have a small belly pooch with more fat than you have. I just can’t understand why he’s not willing to lipo that area.. I thought maybe he’s worried about sagging loose skin afterward? No, he says he won’t take fat from the abdomen on “thin” patients at all.
I am delighted with it. Definitely no ripples or divets. Maybe the first few weeks, but it's been a year now and completely healed and I wear crop tops a lot that I never would have considered previously. I know Dr Hamers uses a certain type of lipo (water assisted or something like that, I honestly can't remember) so maybe that makes a difference?
So glad to hear! Thank you for your reply!
