Breast Fat Transfer to Correct Asymmetry

WORTH IT$6,500
Over one year later, this surgery was well worth it. Not only has my confidence skyrocketed but the minor tweaks to my body have completely changed my overall look and appeal. I would say I retained almost all the fat that was transferred. Although a lot of women talk in percentages retained, I feel that is unfair as post surgery there is a ton of swelling. After the swelling went down and my breast began to “drop” into its natural position, I didn’t see much fat loss.
I think fat retention larger depends on how much fat you have to begin with. As my smaller breast was a C cup to begin with, there was more fat to “grab on to” vs someone who might be an A cup.
I do have 2-3 fat nodes in my breast that I have to be aware of and keep track of but they don’t worry me. On occasion (ie when my husband gets a little too rough) they are tender but nothing out of the ordinary.
Overall this surgery has changed my life and I’m so happy every single day that I did this. It was absolutely work it to me!
If you’re looking for a small, natural enhancement, this is a great option for you

ORIGINAL POST
Breast Fat Transfer to Correct Asymmetry
I’ve had a slight asymmetry in my left breast for as long as I can remember. It’s not something that could be noticed in a bra or in clothing, but naked or in swim suits was more obvious to me and made me very self conscious and hyper aware of the area.
I have researched breast fat transfer as a possible solution for years but the cost was always out of reach until recently. I began researching doctors in the Columbus OH area last January 2018.
As I began emailing doctors for a consultation, I was continually told to do implants— without them even seeing me or doing a consultation! I would explain to them that there is a 1/2 cup to 1 full cup difference between my breasts and they still pushed implants on me.
I almost gave up when I reached out to Dr Roxanne Grawe of Roxy plastic surgery. She heard me out and suggested I come in for a consultation — finally! Someone in the area who isn’t pushing implants on me!
After the consultation, I waited several months before deciding to go through with it. I wanted to make sure I was 100% wanting this. What finally tipped me over the edge was when I realized that I was waking up every single day examining my breasts— I couldn’t walk by a mirror without looking at the asymmetry and feeling resentment.
After months of Dr Grawe answering all my questions via email, I scheduled the surgery.
I was still hesitant of the surgery during my pre op, but after seeing Dr Grawe I finally felt EXCITED. She made me feel so confident in this choice and assured me an implant would not give me the desired results. Although fat transfer is not something she regularly executes, she knew her stuff.
My surgery was Jan 2, 2019 (which I lovingly refer to as “new year new tit”)
The first few days post op were very difficult for me emotionally. I am a very sensitive and squeamish person so between the pain, the swelling and the surgical drain, I kept thinking “why did I do this to myself?”
Thankfully, that subsided after taking myself off the pain meds and being able to go back to work on post op day 5.
I’m currently 26 days post op and I’m absolutely thrilled with the results so far. I cat believe I waited so long to get this done!
Dr Grawe and her amazing staff have far exceeded my expectations. My boyfriend and I are so pleased with the entire experience. He keeps saying “they did you damn good baby” and he’s so right.

Looks great! What % of fat do you think you have retained in a month? How much does the doctor think you will retain the next six months? I am only almost 3 weeks out and I’m afraid of losing anymore fat! Has she put any exercise restrictions on you? And what did she say about wearing bras? I’m happy for you!
Thank you! So my honest answer is this: the first 2-3 weeks are so hard to tell what’s fat and what’s swelling. I have seen a ton of reviews where they say they “lost fat” after week three but for me I simply lost the swelling. My breast was so hard and high for the first 2 weeks I couldn’t wait for it to look like a normal breast. She overfilled the smaller boob as well in order to compensate for the asymmetry and the reabsorption. So far, I feel I have retained it all but who knows! The swelling is down and it finally looks like a normal boob again lol
Sorry I didn’t completely answer. After my 2 week post op my exercise restrictions were lifted. I have recovered nicely and have been back in the gym— not as much as before from the cold in Ohio and needing to get back in the routine. She has been very honest about the % retained— it’s totally patient dependent and everyone is different. Thankfully I was already at about a c cup in the smaller breast so I probably can accommodate and retain more fat than someone starting with less but who knows! Praying it all stays
Very happy for you! I have the same issue and can’t wait to see your results! Still in my researching phase (and saving)
Yes absolutely! The whole reason I posted was for people in similar situations to be able to make informed choices. It’s a person-by-person experience but I’m honestly so happy with my results so far. I’ve finally stopped taking photos every day (4 weeks of daily boob shots can really fill up your phone lol)
Hi, I’ve just had the same procedure for the same assymetry issue and am 6 weeks out so was great to read your story
How are your results so far? I’d love to know more about people with similar experiences
It’s hard to be excited as my abdomen is still swollen and wavy. The symmetry has improved and I’ve retained a lot of fat but I do feel like it’s an ordeal to go through when the results are not hugely noticeable !!!
Yes agree! I have some waviness in my back from the lipo but only when I am contorting a certain way. I’ve been foam rolling so hopefully that helps the scar tissue break up and settle. I totally hear you on no one noticing the results but for me, I notice. I felt my smaller breast made my chest size look smaller over all. Now I feel like I’m getting “credit” for my larger breast. Hard to explain. I do wish we had lipo’d my stomach too but I wanted to be as natural as possible so we just did the flanks
I understand what you’re saying and I will post my story with pictures when I get a chance. I’m scared to exercise too as I don’t want to lose fat so maybe being un-toned is contributing towards my blasé attitude!
Oh my goodness yes! I feel so much softer than I normally like to be especially scheduling the surgery after the holidays. I feel when I pick things back up I’ll notice the lipo results more. We’ve got this! I’m sure you look wonderful
Thank you for the info. I’m scared start exercising for fear of losing my boob fat! Just taking my dog for walks, lol
I’ll be back the gym next week wondering what I can do
Nice
