In 10 days I will have my surgery, and am so looking forward to the results. I did extensive research and am very away of the spectrum of outcomes and recovery. I also visited several doctors to find the best match, as well as to compare responses to my questions. I will post a review of my doctor a bit after the surgery.
I am currently a very small 30/32 A (probably more like an AA, actually). If I make it to a full B cup I will be elated. I have never considered implants because of the potential very serious health side-effects, and the likely need for replacement or removal. Yuck. I also never wanted to interfere with the potential to breastfeed.
At this point I’m reading tons of reviews to determine how to best prepare for post-op and stay as healthy as possible. I have my pre-op with doctor in a week and hope to have those final questions answered and get everything prepared. In terms of garments, scar creams, massages, diet, etc.
A major concern is that I have young kids (3 and 5) that are used to me being very hands-on and affectionate. I’m not sure how the first week or so will go, and will likely need
To keep them at arms length so I don’t get smashed in the wrong places. That will be hard and likely frustrating for everyone. But worth it!
A word of thanks to all the women who have posted detailed reviews of their journey. I will try to pay back the insight and opinions I gained from them through posting here. With photos later.

Good luck! It is hard- My kids are older, the youngest 13, but it is hard because you try to hard not to compress your breasts! I find myself giving lighter hugs, lol. Where will your donor sites be? Looking forward to following your journey!

I had a ft on 3/4 and also have 3 and 5 kiddos. Best of luck on your recovery

Sounds like we are on the same journey! How is it going with the kids? I’ve had some problems with the three year-old. Had to lift him a few times and he needed comforting/snuggling in my lap. OMG- ouch!

Same with me. The 5 year old is being great, the 3 year old is much harder. Running into me wanting to snuggle.
Hopefully you have someone around to help you.

Who did your surgery

It was Dr. Mess in Columbia, MD. I'll post a review once further out/results are in.

My surgery was today and so far so good! Will go through all details in case it’s helpful to others.
First, I prepared by getting all prescriptions last week and Two days ago started eating lots of pineapple (bromelain) and taking vitamin C. Probably should have started a lot earlier.
This morning arrived at office/surgery center at 6:30am to get prepped. One thing I really liked about Dr. Mess is surgery center is part of the office. Hospitals are not my favorite and I got the sense other doctors kindof have to rush you out of there. The nurse greeted me and was very sweet. Got me comfortable in recliner and blanket (which made surgical gown more tolerable). Dr. Mess and anathesiologist game in, and it all felt very friendly, like they enjoyed working together. A good feel.
Dr. Mess marked me up and took her time to move my limbs all different directions to see how the fat moves as I move. She explained that is important so she didn’t take it from areas that becomes naturally indented when I move. Thank you! Sign of a true professional, I thought.
Anasthesiolgist walked through the entire plan, in went IV, I went into surgery room and got comfortable, and that’s the last thing I remember. I woke up on my own about 4.5 hours later. I appreciated that because I have read some reviews that patients are woken up.
My husband and nurses were there to welcome me back to the world and we talked through a few things about aftercare . I felt pretty lucid given the circumstances. I did not feel pain, just uncomfortable. I already had all my garments on, so just put on sweatshirt and coat and off to home. Kept my eyes closed in case I felt nauseous, but felt fine.
Went straight to bed and took 800 mg of ibuprofen. Through the afternoon I would say I haven’t been in pain at all, just uncomfortable. Could be anasthetics still circulating. It’s really just one knee that was throbbing a bit. The nurse called at 4pm
To check in and confirmed lots of fluid is packed in there. I iced and that helped a lot and now feels just fine.
It feels good to walk around and nurse also confirmed that is good to do, in about 15 minute increments. In terms of eating, I had an ensure, yogurt, pineapple, crackers. I even put a salmon in for dinner and started emptying the dishwasher (just the light stuff).
So here are the deets on the boobs: Dr. Mess took the fat from my outer and inner thighs, down through my knees (had no idea there was knee fat down there!). She did that so there is a balanced look, and again I appreciated her artful/thoughtful approach. I’m a tiny bit disappointed because she could inject only 310cc. She had thought she could get 400. But given what I started with (very small ‘footprint’ - will post photos later) it is understandable and not a bad amount. She was hoping for 400cc, but clearly explained in advance that there may come a point that there just isn’t room for more.
So, overall very excited and happy with procedure so far. Especially that pain is extremely manageable. But will post updates as that may change. Thanks for sharing my journey!

Everything sounds like it went well! 310 is good! I had 250 & 275 injected. My doctor believes if you put in too much more fat dies. Please keep us updated!

Day 3, on the mend
rpmgirasolMarch 7, 2019
First things first: at my post-op appointment the day after the surgery (yesterday) I learned the doctor could only inject 250 ccs in each side. She said the tissue just couldn’t take more and fat was starting to come out. She stressed that the fat she used was very concentrated (I think that means smaller cells/potential for more staying power). While I was hoping for 400 cc, what can I do? And as others have said and I have definitely read, more in may just mean more fat absorbed. But the truth is that, right now, my boobs look huge! Again, it’s all about what you started with, so I’m definitely hopeful I will end up with a cup size increase or more. Fingers crossed.
I started measuring 31” at the bust. Yesterday (day 2), I measured 33 and today I measured 34! Swelling and user error could all play a role. I’m sure I won’t stay at 34 inches.
In terms of recovery, it’s going OK. The surgical bra they had me in felt so tight- was very uncomfortable the first night I slept in it, and was leaving marks. I was fearful it was overly compressing these little gems I’m attempting to nurture. Dr. Said I don’t even need to wear it at night or at home. But a little support feels good, so I’m wearing a light bralette/sports bra.
Bruising and swelling is tremendous on my legs. But bruising going down on breasts. Pain is manageable, but sleep has been hard. Just uncomfortable...hopefully I will be on the downswing from that.
One of the strangest things going on is an injured and somewhat numb tongue. I think something wasn’t placed correctly when I was under anasthesia and the tip of my tongue is numb and injured in some way (not really visibly). Dr. Thinks it will go away in a few days. Certainly hope so.

You look great! Where is Dr. Mess located? How does the Lipo spots look?
March 8, 2019
Dr. Mess is in Columbia, Maryland. I’ll post a review a bit further down the road. The lipo areas look like what I’ve seen elsewhere on this site - super bruised. The actual locations are just small little dots. Hopefully will diminish.

Don’t worry about the amount injected. That is a decent amount. Can’t wait to follow your results! All looks good so far!
March 8, 2019
Less fat is much better than to much. The risk of fat that will dissolve will also be smaller. If you want more you can better go for a second round.
Good luck!
Good luck!

I had the SAME THING with my tongue! It went away THANK GOD:) I wish you the best!
March 8, 2019
So glad it went away. How many days did it take for you? It’s 3 days and no change...feeling worried.

Thanks for starting your review and welcome to the community! Good luck with you pre-op and feel free to keep us updated at any time :)
