Breast Augmentation at WIH: Overly Dissected Pocket, Dismissed Concerns, and Revision Needed

I began researching surgeons for a first-time breast augmentation and came across Dr. Chett. During my consultation, I was told my goals were straightforward and achievable: I wanted to increase by about two cup sizes, and I had been naturally symmetrical before surgery. He reviewed my reference photos, said he understood the look I wanted, and helped me select implant size.
After I paid and had surgery, the experience changed. Post-op appointments felt brief and rushed, and I did not feel my concerns were meaningfully addressed.
At around six weeks post-op, as swelling began to decrease, I noticed one implant was sitting much more medially than the other. It looked wide and flat, with a visibly different position and shape from the opposite side. I understood that implants can settle for many months, but this did not look like ordinary early asymmetry to me, so I made an appointment.
At that appointment, I was told everything was normal. When I again raised concern about the medial, flattened implant, the focus was redirected to my other breast, with a suggestion that it might have capsular contracture. That did not match what I was seeing or feeling on that side, and I left the appointment crying because I felt blamed and dismissed rather than given a clear explanation or follow-up plan.
I was also told that the difference was due to my natural anatomy. I gave it another two months in the hope that things would settle, but the implant did not improve. I then sought an independent second opinion from another surgeon, who assessed the problem as an overly dissected implant pocket. In other words, the pocket was made too large, which explained the implant’s flat, wide, medial appearance.
I am now approaching one year post-op and seeking revision surgery with another doctor. I would not return to Dr. Chett or his team for revision. My experience was not only disappointing aesthetically; the dismissive communication and refusal to meaningfully address my concerns affected me mentally as well.
This is my personal experience, but I strongly encourage anyone considering surgery with him to ask detailed questions about implant-pocket planning, post-op assessment, how concerns will be handled, and what revision support is offered if the result is not as expected.
