Officially one month post-op!
So today marks a month post-op and I continue to become more comfortable and happy with my breast augmentation everyday! I’ve been doing my implant/scar massages everyday and I’m noticing a different in my scars appearance as well as where my implants are sitting on my chest. My breasts are still slightly tender when I do my massages but it’s better than when I started. I’m excited to be measured for my new bra size.
Starting implant/scar massaging
On day 10 of recovery and I got the OK to start doing implant/scar massaging. In my surgeons office, my surgeon showed me how to do the massaging, and it’s not the most pleasant feeling in the world but it’s necessary to prevent capsular contracture and thick scarring. I also got the medical grade silicone that they sell in their office to help with scarring as well. Hopefully this process will get easier because it’s not fun. I’m really happy with how my implants are settling now and I can’t wait to see where I am in a month. (My right underboob is slightly flat, but my surgeon said it’s normal and will settle with my other breast eventually)
Went for my first post-op appointment
Yesterday I went for my first post-op appointment to have my stitches removed and my sanitape changed. Because of some bruising and not being used to having my surgery bra on having the stitches removed was pretty uncomfortable but not awful. I was very excited to be able to switch into a much more comfortable sports bra that zips in the front. My nurse told me that I was still very swollen and that I still have a lot of progress to be made. Still so incredibly happy with my results thus far!
