Went for my consultation!

I've been wanting a breast augmentation for years now, and after a friend recommended I go to Dr.Fiala I knew I needed to check him out. I was able to book a consultation through real self, and his office contacted me within a few days! The day of my consultation I was pretty nervous about it but once I met the friendly staff and Dr.Fiala himself I felt much more comfortable. He answered all of my questions, told me the risks, and explained how the surgery and recovery would go before we even tried on any sizers. Being able to try on the sizers was also extremely helpful because I was not really sure of what I even wanted or what would be best for me. Dr.Fiala gave me a doable size range and helped me with the pros and cons of each implant type and size. I booked my surgery that day because I was confident that this surgeon and his staff would be the perfect fit for me. And I'm so excited to have my procedure done! (Before pix)

So I just had my surgery done yesterday, and since then it’s been a lot of sleeping and keeping up with my medications. Dr. Fiala and his amazing team helped me through the tremendous anxiety I was feeling yesterday morning while preparing for surgery. They made sure I was comfortable and knew every step that they would be taking to prepare me well before it happened. Before I knew it I felt like I was waking up from a great nap but now I have my boobs! All of yesterday and so far most of today I have spent sleeping and hydrating. The only thing that’s been uncomfortable is how tight my chest feels and not being able to use my arms for anything. I know those things will pass with time though. I’ve added some day 2 recovery pictures for reference. I have quite tight pectoral muscles so I was told by my release nurse that they will sit pretty high for me for some time, but that was expected.

So today is recovery day 3, I haven’t taken any pain medications because I am luckily in no discomfort, my range of motion has improved greatly, and my chest tightness is already starting to subside! I have been feeling a tingling and sort of gurgling sensation on my breasts today but that was to be expected. I will be going to Dr. Fiala’s office tomorrow for my first post Op appointment to have my bandages removed and to switch to my own sports bra! I will also hopefully get the O.K. to be able to shower afterwards. My implants are still sitting pretty high on my chest but I can see improvement from day 1 and I’m excited for my progress to continue!
