Warning – Blanc Surgery / Dr Kerim

am writing this as a warning based on my own experience with Blanc Surgery and Dr Kerim. I would strongly advise anyone considering surgery here to research very carefully.

From my first visit, the main focus seemed to be money, handled largely by Dr Kerim’s wife. I never met my anaesthetist, and Dr Kerim told me what procedures he thought I should have rather than properly discussing options with me. I was advised to have an uplift, new implants and nipple reduction.

After surgery, I never saw Dr Kerim again.

I was sent to a hotel after hospital discharge, only to arrive and be told there was no room booked for me. I was left waiting for hours before being moved to a different hotel that was far away, poor quality, with no food nearby. I was in severe pain, carrying my surgical drains in a bag, and having to get taxis just to find food.

I developed an infection. My drains were only removed a few hours before my flight home, despite still producing a lot of fluid. I felt this was rushed purely because I was leaving.

I had breast surgery 10 years prior and immediately felt something was wrong this time. My concerns were repeatedly ignored. Once back in England, the infection worsened. My scars became thick, red and abnormal. I paid to see a private UK surgeon who advised the surgery was poor, the implants were badly placed, and they were smaller than my previous implants, which I did not request. I had asked for the same size or larger.

After 18 months of complaints and being treated rudely and unprofessionally via WhatsApp, I was eventually offered revision surgery — but only if I paid £2,500. I refused, as I should not have to pay to fix poor work. Eventually, they agreed to revise the surgery, but I had to pay for my own flights, accommodation, transfers, and was told I could only stay in hospital for one day.

The night before surgery, a random person messaged me aggressively on WhatsApp at midnight, saying they would only do scar revision and that I should go back to England if I wasn’t happy — or I would be charged extra. I was alone, terrified, and crying. I felt unsafe and intimidated.

At the hospital, I was pressured to sign documents written in Turkish, which I refused. I was then asked to write a statement saying my scars were due to genetics — something no UK surgeon had ever suggested, and something contradicted by my other surgical scars. I refused again.

A man later entered my room, admitted he was the person messaging me, and aggressively demanded I sign paperwork. When I refused, he stormed out and slammed the door.

The operating environment was extremely distressing. The theatre looked dirty, the surgical bed was ripped, staff were in casual scrubs, and there was no clear sterile preparation. I was not properly introduced to staff. The anaesthetist simply said “I put you to sleep” and proceeded.

I woke up in extreme pain with no adequate pain relief. The food was inedible, and I was told I could not even have toast or tea unless I went out myself. I ended up walking the streets in my pyjamas with a drip stand trying to find food after fasting.

I was discharged the next morning, thrown out of my hospital room, given no support bra, and never saw Dr Kerim again. I was told he had an emergency — only to later be told by staff that he had flown out and gone on holiday. The lies were obvious.

Final Advice

Based on my experience, I do not recommend:
• Dr Kerim
• Blanc Surgery
• This hospital

I would urge anyone considering surgery abroad, especially in Turkey, to only proceed if every review is consistently 5-star, and after doing extensive independent research. Please learn from my experience.
