The Wait Almost over

So far I’ve only seen my surgeon once, back in February when I started the whole process after speaking with my family doctor about continuous problems, she referred me to him. The first visit was pleasant. He gave me detailed information on what he could do for me. I’ve been excited every since that day. Needless to say, I was denied by my insurance the first go round, but Dr. Lawson did not give up on me, he resubmitted for review and spoke to the insurance company and I was finally approved. Everything has started moving fast since then. My surgery is scheduled for Thursday May 23rd and I couldn’t be more happier. After all the issues I’ve had over the years with these things, I’m ready to see them go! I go in for my pre-op visit this Wednesday May 8th. I’m nervous, anxious, excited, scared, many emotions right now, especially because my sister and niece just had there’s done less than a month ago and they say the pain is terrible, but I’ve been through so much in this last decade, I believe I can push through this pain as well. I’ve been reading up on my surgeon and all I can say is, seems like I’m in great hands. My God has me also!! This is my year and I know I will conquer everything I set out to. I have confidence Dr. Lawson will do an amazing job and I’m ready for the results. I will make sure to post updates! Guess I’ll start with some before pics.

So, had my pre op appt yesterday and it went great. Dr. Lawson just discussed everything that will happen day of surgery, how the cuts and scars would be, and listened to any concerns I had!! I’m soo excited and ready to get it over with!!! 14 days to go! I feel like I’m in great hands, well covered by God!
