How it works
- Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
- This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
- Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.

Years of disfigurement thanks to multiple failed surgery attempts
I reluctantly share this post as a warning to any of you who may be considering breast augmentation with Dr. Saltz.
*****Please look at the photos attached the reviews - they speak volumes more than this review can.********
If you have normal breasts that are of equal sizes, your experience may turn out fine, however, I've dealt with years of disfigurement thanks to multiple failed corrective breast surgery attempts by Dr. Saltz.I went to Dr. Saltz for a period of four years, from age 18-22. My breasts were two cup sizes different - normal healthy breast tissue, one breast a small AA to A, while the other was barely a B. The results I was left with is a level of disfigurement no woman should have to deal with for such a minor cup size discrepancy. With my initial visits years ago, Dr. Saltz explained she was "highly competent" in dealing with breasts of different sizes.
Surgery 1 Putting an expander in on my right side and a silicone implant on my left (the opposite side in photos.)Dr. Saltz was overly aggressive with the use of the expander to stretch my breast tissue. The tissue was left thin, weak, and circulation was damaged- the breast was often cold to touch and even slightly blue. Ultimately the skin was stretched too thin to accommodate the weight of even a modest implant. Over a decade later, I have almost no feeling in that breast at all.
Surgery 2 Swapping the expander for a silicone implant. The implant was too large.
Surgery 3 Dr. Saltz replaced the stretched side implant for smaller implant.
Surgery 4 a poor attempt to lift the implant to the same height as the undamaged side - surgery four ultimately failed. However - having put so much of my life on hold to have four consecutive surgeries annually from the ages of 18-22, I was left too drained and embarrassed by my disfigurement to want to talk about it with anyone or file medical malpractice by that point - I simply wanted to get on with my life. When you typically get an augmentation to show off your breasts, I've spent over 15 years hiding them so no one would notice my rippled and disfigured breast. Modest swimsuits, and nothing low cut without being incredibly self conscious. Not the results one would hope for from breast implants. It looks so bad that I've had exes see me for the first time and ask me if I was in a car accident, or if I had breast cancer. I had to explain that no, this is just the work of a bad surgeon.
Fast forward to over 15 years after my original surgery - I decided it was finally time to get the disfigurement fixed, and I would give Dr. Saltz one final opportunity to correct her work. I had a consult with Dr. Lori Saltz via video in October 2020. This was a video consult due to covid so she was able to see her work clearly in the consult (I disrobed for the consult.) Dr. Saltz simply stared at my breasts on her computer screen, mulling over ideas for well over a half-hour. Her facial expressions showed nothing but confusion and a lack of confidence. She clearly saw no course of action for how to correct my disfigurement - the work that SHE ultimately created.
At no point during the video consult did Dr. Saltz apologize for causing me these years of disfigurement, or offer any solutions outside of her own care when she clearly *still* lacks the skills to remedy the situation. The only thing she stated was that she needed to "see me in person" and that she would "have a clearer idea of what to do by seeing me in person." She stated her assistant would contact me for follow-up. No attempt at follow-up would ever be made.
Note: I finally have found a doctor who is confident in repairing my case - who is out of state. I am having more than THREE TIMES of what a standard breast augmentation/implant replacement would cost, all to repair the disfigurement I was left with thanks to Dr. Saltz.
