Want fuller boobs have for 20 years because I have never had them... went to consultation. Dr is very nice and knowledgeable, with lots of experience. Went in thinking under muscle by he recommended over because of my nipple positioning.

Ask the doctor how they will look if you ever want to get them removed or need to get them removed if you go over the muscle. I've seen a lot of women who had over the muscle with terribly wrinkled breast upon removal. I had saline under the muscle for six years and recently got them removed. They look amazing after getting removed and way better than they looked when I had my implants.

Thank you. I am a little concerned about sagging if I go over the muscle. And the need for a push-up bra. That's part of the reason for surgery I don't want a push-up bra anymore. I have my preop tomorrow morning

I think over or under they all sag in time. You’re asking the right questions though. I know when I got mine I wasn’t thinking about removal but I think it’s important to know everything. I can imagine going over the muscle is less recovery time and more comfortable. All the best!

Hi hun, I was in exactly the same position as you. I always thought I wanted under the muscle but have recently changed my mind after the recommendation from my surgeon. It’ll help to ask your surgeon why he recommends it, in my case it was also a similar reason as positioning. If the implants are placed under the muscle they can get ‘flattened’ when using the muscle and from what I can see it could mean your nipples would face further outwards.
Under the muscle tends to work best for people who are very thin or have very thin tissue, meaning under the muscle doesn’t show off the implant as much. Since your skin might be a good thickness you won’t need under the muscle which is actually a good thing as it tends to heal quicker too.
I’d say definitely speak to your surgeon more about the pros and cons of both, that’ll help you decide like it did for me :)

I see my dr for preop tomorrow morning. So definitely going to go over things more about what I am picturing as an end result. I use to lift but no so much anymore. I don't want to have to wear push-up bras anymore and he basically indicated that I sit would need to. I talked to many friends that have had it done and they are all under. One just recently had it done has to have revision done and she plans on changing hers to under the muscle.

Post-op Day 1- feeling sore (Like I did 1000 push-ups or engorged like milk needs to be squeezed out). Over all feel good.
Procedure was great nurses at Downeast Surgery Center were awesome. It’s COVID no one is allowed in. But they put you at easy. I’ll do some port op pictures later today.
