Tubular Breast Reconstruction and Augmentation — Extremely Happy With My Choice
WORTH IT
I spent a lot of time researching surgeons before deciding to have my breast augmentation and tubular breast reconstruction with Dr. Örero?lu. This was a very important decision for me, and I was looking for much more than simply a surgeon whose before-and-after photos I liked.
My case was not a straightforward breast augmentation. I had tubular breasts, so the surgery also involved reconstructing the breast shape and correcting the anatomical characteristics associated with the condition. Because of this, choosing a surgeon with the right experience and a very individualized approach was particularly important to me.
What ultimately made me choose Dr. Örero?lu was the combination of his reputation, his results, his approach to safety, and especially the consultation itself. From the beginning, he was completely honest about the complexity of my case. He explained what could realistically be achieved, what could not be guaranteed, the technique he intended to use and why, and what I should expect from the result. There were no exaggerated promises or attempts to simply tell me what I wanted to hear. That honesty was extremely important to me.
The preparation during the week before surgery was very well organized. The team provided all the information I needed, explained the process step by step, and guided me through everything I had to do before surgery.
The experience at the hospital was excellent. My room was large and comfortable, the staff were attentive, and everything felt very organized. I was also incredibly happy with the anesthesia experience. I essentially had a very good sleep and woke up feeling surprisingly well.
Recovery has probably been the biggest surprise of the entire experience. I had mentally prepared myself for pain and a difficult first few days, but that simply wasn't my experience. Almost immediately after waking up from anesthesia, I wanted to get up and walk, although the staff wouldn't allow me to do that straight away. Later, I was already walking around my room and along the hospital floor.
I did have the expected discomfort, tightness and limitations, but I did not experience actual pain. I was genuinely surprised by how easy the first days were compared with what I had imagined.
The postoperative follow-up has also been extremely thorough. While I was still in the hospital, the staff checked on me very frequently — at times it felt like almost every two hours — and communicated the findings to Dr. Örero?lu. He examined me the morning after surgery before I was discharged. I then had another check with his nurse on day 2 and follow-up examinations with Dr. Örero?lu himself on days 4 and 7. Throughout this period, the clinic staff have always been available whenever I have had a question or concern.
I am writing this review only one week after surgery, so obviously this is not my final result. I know that the breasts will continue to change and settle over the coming months. Nevertheless, I am already extremely happy with what I see — especially considering that this was not only an augmentation but also a reconstruction of tubular breasts. If this is the result at one week, I am very excited to see where it will be at six months.
One thing I would say to anyone choosing a surgeon is that breast augmentation can certainly be done much more cheaply. But personally, I did not want to feel like one patient among hundreds moving through a high-volume surgery process. This was something I had wanted for a very long time, and I wasn't willing to compromise on the surgeon or the process.
If you are looking for an individualized approach, realistic expectations, careful planning and a surgeon who focuses on your specific anatomy rather than applying the same solution to everyone, I can absolutely recommend Dr. Örero?lu.
My experience has been overwhelmingly positive, and knowing what I know now, I would make the same choice again.
