Update!!
WORTH IT$7,937
Hello everyone! Sorry it’s been a while since my last update. Work and my personal life have been so busy lately. Anyways... I am still in LOVE with my breasts! They’ve definitely changed A LOT over the past few months. Check out some of these pictures from October 25th (3 months postop) and today (almost 5 months postop). They have dropped a lot since my last update and really softened up too! To be completely honest, now that they’ve dropped, I do miss having more fullness up top like before. Don’t get me wrong, I still have good upper pole fullness especially compared to my preop breasts! I also feel like they’ve decreased in size maybe now that all the swelling is gone? Or is it just me? I guess I’m still getting used to their new dropped appearance. I still think they’re perfect and fit my frame nicely! The slope is also more natural looking and smooth now.
I sometimes forget that I got them done because they feel and look so natural and they just feel like they’re a part of me!
Now I can wear 32DD in Victoria’s Secret bras. I can still wear the 32D bras that I got a few months ago. They both fit well and very similarly. The only difference I would say is that the 32DD has a tiny bit more coverage for the girls.

Scars Update - Silicone Strips
So I started using silicone strips over my scars on Monday as Dr. Lista told me to do and then on Tuesday I noticed that my scars were starting to turn a little darker in colour, so of course I freaked out!!! I took off the strips that day and I immediately emailed the postop nurse Lori (who has been so helpful throughout my entire postop and she responds to emails so quickly). She told me that this was completely normal and that scars will get darker first before they lighten up and fade. She also told me that it's the product absorbing into the scars. That made me feel so much better. But that was a huge scare for me! I initially thought the silicone strips were causing my scars to get more pigmented, even though they're supposed to help reduce pigmentation? So I was both confused and scared... anyways, I applied strips again on Wednesday and I've been wearing them consistently now. I just take them off when I shower. Has this happened to anyone else before? Or has anyone experienced their scars getting darker first before fading?

1 month update
Wow I can’t believe it’s already been 1 month since my surgery! I feel like it just flew by. I’m feeling great and basically back to normal life. I had my 1 month check up with Dr. Lista yesterday and he was so happy with how my breasts are looking and feeling now! I can’t get over how soft and squishy they’ve become already. They’re still not as soft as normal breast tissue but they’ve gotten so much softer compared to a month ago. Dr Lista said I no longer need to wear my surgical bra and I can wear any bra now, including underwire. He wants me to continue massaging them everyday but he said instead of doing it 5 times a day, I can lessen it to 3 times a day now. He also wants me to start lying down on my chest! I did it for a few minutes yesterday on my bed and it felt so weird and uncomfortable so I’m going to try to slowly increase my time doing it each day until I completely get used to it. He also wants me to apply silicone sheets to my incisions to help with healing and reduce scarring. I ordered some on Amazon which should be coming today so I’ll post another update on those. I still have some numbness at the bottom of my breasts near the incisions and I’ve noticed that my nipples have gotten more sensitive in the past week or so. Dr Lista said that’s normal and should get better over time.
Sooo I went bra shopping yesterday for the first time postop and it was so much fun! I can’t believe how amazing my breasts look both without a bra and with a bra. I’m honestly so in love with them and I think they’re the perfect size for my petite frame. Speaking of size, I got sized a 32D yesterday!!! I’m so happy with that because I wanted to go up 1-2 cup sizes. I used to wear a 32C pre-op, but I never completely filled the cups. I purchased a couple wireless lightly lined bras from Victoria’s Secret and some bralettes from Aerie! Even though I was cleared to wear any bra now, including underwire, I decided to avoid underwires for now because I don’t want to irritate my inframammary incisions at all. And I have to say, the wireless bra I got from VS is so comfy and supportive! It doesn’t irritate my incisions at all which is great. I also love these lace bralettes I got from Aerie. So flattering for the new girls!! I seem to have an issue with the sizing though. The size Small fits my rib cage well, but the cups don’t exactly fit my bust. The size Medium cups seem to fit my bust better, but it’s loose on my rib cage. If you have a look at the photos I attached, the lilac one is a Small and the mauve one is a Medium. What are your thoughts on the sizing? I also just noticed that Aerie carries size Small-D and Small-DD in this bralette style online only so I just ordered some in a Small-D which is meant for people who wear 32D. So I’ll see how that size compares to the ones I bought yesterday.
I was also cleared to start exercising again and Dr. Lista said there are no exercise restrictions. But I don’t plan on going back to the gym and lifting weights again until a couple more weeks. Maybe early/mid September? I want to ease back into my fitness routine again especially since it’s been a while. But I did go back to work full time at the hospital last week, which I was 26 days postop at the time. I do 4 12-hour shifts in a row then I get 5 days off. I was so exhausted from the long shifts. I had been off from work for a month and I barely did any physical activity as I was healing. I did 10,000 steps each day at work last week! My breasts were also more sore than usual during those 4 days at work, but they would feel better once I massaged them. It was a tiring work week overall, but thankfully I got through it! I go back to work again on Monday for my next 4 shifts. Now that I’ve gotten through my first week back, I think my second week will be easier.
