I feel like I finally have some “fluff”. Still the occasional burning sensation in my nipples or a twinge that massage resolves but my scars occasional feel very raw - like I was just cut again - and I notice one is raised so I am applying the scar cream again to try to stop that. I am still hoping to go larger and to a higher profile this fall/winter so I can be fairly well along toward settling by my wedding day. It seems to have taken me a long time to fluff but everyone is different.

Did he at all suggest you do lift w/ augmentation? I went in thinking just implants. After several consultations I learned that was definitely not going to give me the results I had hoped for. So I am unfortunately going to have to do both along with my tummy tuck on 10/22

I’m almost certain that you should have gotten a lift to achieve the look you wanted.

If I could make piece with the vertical scar I would have but for me the full anchor scars look like a person’s breast has been butchered and I did not want to risk of not scarring well or having to look at the scar for the rest of my life. Some people are ok with the scar but I’m definitely not at this point. I’m going to replace the low profile with high or moderate profile larger implants and hope that I do not have a serious snoopy look. But I’d rather that than the scar.

I think your results look very natural. I got my BA in March and opted against a lift too. I think they look good, but so many photos have made us think the super round and high boobs look the best. If you want Barbie boobs totally go for that, but they look really good as of now with your frame. Best of luck.

Thank you. I will be undergoing a revision next week for larger, higher profile implants. Because I am so tall and not slender, I think I could carry them and they would not look too fake because of my ptosis. I’d have to wear certain clothes and a push up bra to get a more fake look.

So from all the research I have done I really don't think going to a higher profile will help at all unless you get a lift. I completely understand not wanting those scars. One option that I have seen a couple of PS's doing, not many though, is using shaped implants. They work wonderfully for women with ptosis that don't want a lift. It works for two reasons, one being that shaped implants are always textured and they will stay in place, unlike smooth round implants that will just sag and make the situation worse. The second reason why this works is that the bottom of the shaped implants are the highest point and they end up lifting the bottom of the breast up and out. I feel like a common misconception about shaped implants is that they create a "natural" look and I disagree, all the pictures I have seen of women with shaped implants they have really great cleavage and they don't have the natural slope that round implants provide. The draw back with shaped implants is they are more firm, but I personally like that and really it's your personal preference. I think you would have a really great result if you did tall height high profile shaped implants. The tall height will give you the cleavage and the high profile will really lift the bottom of your breasts to create a more perky look! If you want more info on some of the PS's that I found that will do this message me on here. Hope this helps! Good luck with your BA journey and I hope that whatever you choose works for you!

I should have gone bigger

I’m still waiting for the magic to happen. I’m not satisfied with my size. I think I need moderate profile 640cc and maybe a donut lift. I will not consider an anchor or lollipop lift and do not want my nipples moved too much. But I want bigger and rounder and I’m frustrated I may have to wait until the sixth month mark. I don’t see them settling to a point that would make me feel good about the investment. I wouldn’t say it wasn’t worth it but I’m definitely not satisfied and do not have the patience to wait sixth months then start over with new implants waiting for them to settle again. *sigh*. I wish I had pushed for moderate profile and emphasized more strongly that I wanted some level of fake-look. I do not want to look too natural - for me that defeats the point of implants. *sigh again*

Why didn’t the surgeon do a lift for the ptosis? I ask because I had the same condition. First surgeon did a donut lift then went back in 9 months later with an anchor lift. That was about 20 years ago. Just got my implants replaced and had the second anchor lift. No way implants would have ever achieved this outcome.

I did not want the scars. Some surgeons recommended a lift but I thought I’d see how it turned out without it. I could always do it later but if I had started with a lift and hated the scars (which I anticipated I would), I’d be stuck with them. I still don’t think I’d want the scars.

Scar update

I forgot to post pics of my scars. They are barely noticeable. I used to get a burning sensation on them from time to time but that stopped the first week. I’m very happy with the minimal scarring and I did not have any bruising.
