Terrible Experience with Flymedi/Luna Clinic
I had breast augmentation, Liposuction and Vaginoplasty on 1st October 2025 and the surgery was performed by Dr Ramazan Guler at Luna Clinic, Istanbul Cerrahi Hospital. All this was arranged by Flymedi who are associates for Luna Clinic.
Although the liposuction and Vaginoplasty surgery was straightforward, unfortunately the breast augmentation was not successful. Before I flew home I attended Dr Ramazan Guler private clinic to have a final check-up and was accompanied by my sister. She was made aware of the injury around the right breast and nipple area and questioned this. Dr Ramazan Guler was not concerned and stated that it was a build-up of blood as a result of the trauma from the surgery and this will disappear and reduce in time. However, on my return back to the UK and a few weeks post op the area became severely infected. After several trips to my GP for antibiotics I had to attend the Accident and Emergency department as the infected area had got worse and the skin had torn around the infected area because of constant dressing changes. After examination I was then referred to the Breast Unit and was informed that I would have to undergo immediate surgery to have the implant in the infected breast removed and I would also lose my nipple because it was dead tissue. I contacted the clinic in Istanbul but I didn't receive a reply as the Co-ordinator was on holiday and I needed to have the surgery as soon as possible. I have now had the implant removed and am recovering from this but still have to attend my local hospital for dressing changes and had a drainage attached to my breast to remove the infection.
There was no aftercare provided by Luna Clinic, I have had no follow up calls or emails enquiring about the surgery and to ask if there were any complications which there clearly was. I defy any surgeon in the world to not know about dead tissue loss and the fact that Dr Ramazan Guler sent me home with the full knowledge that I had Necrosis in my nipple astounds me. I am deeply disappointed in my results after the breast augmentation and having to undergo further surgery only six weeks later to have the implant removed is unacceptable. Because I will now have to undergo further reconstructive surgery in the UK to have the right breast corrected this is causing me further stress and is having a profound effect on my mental health.
I have contacted both Flymedi and Luna Clinic but have not received a response from either and I doubt I’ll ever get an acknowledgment for their medical negligence. If anyone is thinking of having their surgery through Flymedi and Luna Clinic I would seriously reconsider this and go for a more reputable cosmetic company who have a duty of care and not just financial gain.
