One month post OP!

I’m noticing slight change everyday. As the bottom of my breast drop and fill out, the upper pole is smoothing out (not as round and high) I’m excited to see if they become more teardrop natural looking.
As for sleeping at night...What’s sleep? I’ve started having sleep insomnia really bad. I’m up for hours throughout the night and can’t sleep in past 5am! So I find myself running off of fumes throughout the day (which sucks when I have 2 yr old twins to run around after and school age children, gymnastics, soccer, football and baseball). I’m not sure if I’m not sleeping well due to finding my pectoral muscles tightening up while I am sleeping? I basically go from sleeping slightly elevated on my back, then I must slide flat on my back in my sleep (which makes my implants feel like they’re sliding into my armpit while my muscles tense up. Then I find myself on my side (which makes my muscles tense up too) So I fix my recliner with all my pillows in hopes that might help me. I know it’ll take time...but I’m hoping I find a way to sleep soon.

3 weeks and 4 days post op!

So far, so good! It’s been a very easy recovery process. The hardest part is that I can’t pick my two yr old twins up. Other than that, sleeping is getting easier to do.  I have been massaging my breast as often as possible. My Doctor recommends at least 3 times a day, but I definitely do more than that! I am also wearing my surgical strap to help push the implants down.  Yesterday while visiting Dr. Pousti for a post check (which this was my 3rd post op visit since my surgery on Aug, 13th 2018) he was very happy with how my breasts were settling and he even decided to remove my bandages around my areola. Talk about being filled with excitement cause that meant I was given the green light to get my breast wet!!! No more wrapping them up with packing cellophane wrap!!! Haha!! Yes I really did do that!  As I was checking out from my appointment, I was asked if I was still ok with sharing my experience and post op breasts with another patient?! I was more than happy to share my breast augmentation journey! I think it’s such a cool, helpful, calming thing to do. It’s like a real life, version of Real Self!! I hope I was able to help the young beautiful woman with any of her questions and or concerns she might of had! I know she’s going to love Dr. Pousti’s work just as much as I do.  I go back for another post op check in a month. Until then, I’m going to continue to take it easy, massage my breast as often as I can, wet my surgical strap and get some comfortable sports bras and wireless bras!

10 days post surgery :)

A lot of my swelling has went down! My breast are still high, but they are softening up each day and I do feel that the implant is slowly moving down. I feel absolutely great! I haven’t had to take pain meds, muscle relaxers etc. Took my pain meds, etc off and on for about 4 days. Honestly the pain I was experiencing was from lactic acidosis from surgery and the bloating was pretty insane! Lots water, and warm prune juice will help!
I have another post op appointment tomorrow (08/24/2018) to learn to massage my breast.

Dr. Pousti is a kind, great bedside manners kind of doctor. He’s a artist in a cosmetic surgical world. He has a sense of humor, while being personable and compassionate in his work and with his patients. Thank you Dr. Pousti for taking great care of me
