Still seeing minor changes happen, and hoping for a more defined inner crease as well as a little more softening. Overall though, they have totally boosted my confidence and I have zero regrets! ....................................................................

What is subglandular? They look great!
April 7, 2021
Subglandular is over the muscle, or "overs" instead of under the muscle.

Easy to see why you don't have any regrets! What beautiful results you've achieved; you must be so pleased with the aesthetics. Enjoy that very much-deserved confidence boost.

They look so good . I want to do mine and I am so nervous. I saw about 6 surgeons with all different ideas. The last one was the only one who suggested a subglandular BA because he said I have tuberous breasts and my skin is think. Would you please let me know what made your surgeon decide to do a subglandular procedure? They look very good . I wish you a speedy recovery .

Thank you! I was nervous that my surgeon recommended subglandular but I knew he very rarely does that, so I knew it was for a good reason. He told me that because I was constricted (didn't have much tissue at all between nipples and creases) and I may have been slightly tuberous. He said if he did "unders", the pointy shape that I had before would just be the same on top of the implant, so the shape wouldn't be ideal. Hopefully that makes sense and is helpful. I was nervous at first because almost everyone gets unders, but he made me feel confident about it. Good luck!

I’ve decided to book mine since the gyms are closed might be a good time...it’s sub glandular too I’m nervous I’m barely a 32A not much tissue at all, also terrified of bii we’re you?

I have subglandular implants Mentor MemoryGel Xtra Moderate Profile Plus 370cc. I love them but I do want more upper pole fullness. Initially I didn't want any, and wanted the natural look. Now I'm looking to get a revision just to achieve larger implants and upper pole. I was very scared about going over the muscle but I have to say I'm so happy I have subglandular! When I get my revision I plan on staying over the muscle. Way less pain, recovery is faster, they look larger because they aren't constricted by the pec muscle. If you think about it your natural breast tissue is not under the pectoralis muscle. The only reason why they do that is to hide the implant. With the new 5th generation of implants that's not necessary, these new implants are overfilled with gel. I know Mentor Xtra is about 98% filled and their regular implants are 93% filled which can lead to rippling. Allergen's Inspira line has three different implants with varying levels of cohesive gel which also prevents rippling. It can be scary because most doctors go under the muscle, but if you are able to go over I highly recommend it. There are a lot of complications that come with going under the muscle such as animation deformity, double bubble, and bottoming out. I think both ways are good and it's good to find a PS that performs each method depending on the patient's needs. Good luck and I hope some of this information helps, if you go to the websites of Mentor, Allergan, and Sientra you can get a lot more information about each of the implants and it really helps!

I was the same, not even filling out an A cup. I wasn't too concerned with the bii since it seems to be very rare and my surgeon talked to me about it beforehand and said if anything like that would happen, he would remove them at no cost.
April 9, 2021
Oh you’re lucky not here, I’m super scared of bii seems not rare at all I look on here and IG about it. We’re you worried about coming up with money down the road or am I just in my head

Do you have textured or smooth implants? BII is mostly related with textured implants. I wouldn't worry about it, worrying makes you sick! Unless you are actively having symptoms, then it would be something to worry about. I'm a hypochondriac myself lol and once I start looking up stuff I completely get in my head about it. I have taught myself over the years to not do that so much, lol

I'd be curious to see your before? I'm assuming you had wide cleavage to start and/or TBD? Hopefully they scored the constricted bands under the areola.

I'm happier with them all the time for the most part - just trying not to have boob greed! I appreciate though that I can play them up if I want to, but people wouldn't even know if I don't want them to. The inner creases are starting to form more, and I think that's helping them look the way I was hoping they would.

They look really good.... the surgeon I want too does overs I’m super hesitant because I’m worried to see rippling I’m barely a 32A
January 31, 2021
I was worried too, but my surgeon almost always goes under the muscle, so I knew when he suggested overs that there was a good reason. I haven't seen any rippling and I couldn't fill out an A cup before. I need to get my before photos from my surgeon to share!
January 31, 2021
Okay the surgeon I first went too only does overs and the other one I saw does under so I’m confused but I know under has animation deformity when you workout which I don’t want

I have overs and I was super worried about it, but I have to say the healing process was a breeze and I don't have to worry about animation deformity. A lot of people say that going over will result in sagging breasts but from the pictures I have seen going under looks the same as over, as far as where the breast settle. Also, I have Mentor MemoryGel Xtra 370cc MPP, the implants are 98% filled as apposed to the regular MemoryGel which are 93% filled so there is way less rippling, for me I actually don't have any rippling. I do play it safe though and sleep in a sports bra, I pretty much live in sports bras, just to prevent any future sagging that will occur over time. I think if you have the option to go over then that's the way to go, or if that's what your PS recommend. They also appear larger going over because the muscle isn't squeezing the implants, at least that's what I have read on here. Definitely it can be scary because most doctors go under the muscle, my PS does both depending on your body type which I think is important, you don't want a PS that only performs one type of procedure on everyone IMHO. Hope this helps, I know I was really worried about it and I really love my results.... besides having boob greed lol

You look great! Thank you for sharing your story! I have such a hard time finding anyone who gets over the muscle. I’m hoping to have mine done in April but I have to to have a lift as well. I really want to do over the muscle, my surgeon says I can do either.

I have over the muscle implants, I love them, the healing process was really easy. My only regret is that I wanted a natural look and didn't want any upper pole, now that I have them I love the upper pole I have when wearing sports bras, I like the "fake look" now. I was so worried that I was going to have a really round look, which I didn't want. Now I do want that upper pole fullness, and I want to go much larger lol boob greed. I figure when I go back to get them redone at some point I will be able to go larger and get the upper pole I want. You can take a look at my story to see my results, I wanted them very "heavy" on the bottom which I love but I wish they were heavy on the top too to make them appear higher on my chest. Hope that helps. I know it's hard to find subglandular BA on here.

you are looking amazing :) is that Round or tear drop (anatomical) implants ?
March 14, 2021
Thank you! They are round. I'm very happy with them, other than the occasional dreaded "boob greed" lol

Settling more all the time. I have my next check up tomorrow, so will ask more detail about the insides filling in more. He had mentioned last time that we would talk about massage techniques to get them to fill in the pocket.
