Small BA 270cc HP Petite
Been looking on RS at ladies journeys since I finally decided to go ahead with my BA in August/September 2019, after over 12 years of thinking about doing it. After looking through hundreds of stories, it became apparent that the smaller BA ladies (under 300cc) aren’t so widely documented. I found it difficult to have some ideas of what my surgery outcome might be like. So i thought would share my outcome for any petite small framed ladies in a similar position to myself and looking to have a smaller sized BA.
Im 27 years old, 5ft 2 and weigh 46kg. I have 2 young children who weren’t breastfed. Pre op, I had basically no breast tissue and anything I had before my children, had disappeared completely and wore a highly padded 32a bra.
I Had my initial consultation late September 2019, then another late January 2020 with a scheduled op date for April 2020. However, due to the Covid pandemic this was rescheduled to late June 2020.
My goal was to achieve a natural look, which was a big concern for me due to having very little breast tissue and being so small framed. However i did want to ensure my surgery would provide a worthwhile outcome that i would be happy with.
My surgeon advised me on some possible sizes inkeeping with my measurements and what kind of look i was hoping to achieve. My top 2 options were the 240cc hp or 270cc uhp. The crisalix imaging tool really helped me decide on my final choice. I originally chose to go with the smooth round Nagor impelo 270cc uhp implants. As i felt this would provide a more worthwhile outcome to the 240cc. On my surgery day my implant changed from 270cc uhp to 270cc hp.
I did try on 300cc sizers although these weren’t an option given by my surgeon due to my measurements, but in all honesty these just seemed huge on my small frame considering i was completely flat to start with. It was just out of curiosity really!
I see from other girls BA journeys the 300cc size or more on a petite frame is very nice on them and can pull it off very well but unfortunately it wasn’t an option from my surgeon for me. I could have probably had second opinions from other surgeons who might have been willing to go allow me to go bigger but I trusted my surgeons judgement and advice.
I am now currently just 3 days post op and i can honestly say it has been such a positive experience so far and my recovery has been amazing so far.
My surgery was in a day case clinic at 5pm on 25th June and I came round from the sedation at around 7pm. On waking I wasn’t in much pain at all, just tightness and heaviness on my chest especially on the sternum and tenderness around my armpit areas. I also had a very very dry mouth and found it difficult to eat my sandwich. But I managed soon after to get dressed and walk around fine before being discharged. I thought right ok.. this is not half as bad as i was expecting surely i will feel very sore in the next few days..but so far my recovery it has been very manageable and only discomfort with tightness, rather than actual pain which was very surprising to me compared to what I had imagined.
My left side has more swelling and discomfort than the right and i iced my chest the first night to help ease the discomfort on my sternum.
Ive kept on top of my meds regardless and only the first night/morning at home i required help with pushing and pulling movement.. like getting in/up from bed or going to the toilet. Sleeping inclined hasn’t been much of an issue either really which i was also worried about.
On the morning of 2 days post op i woke with burning sensation on and around my left nipple but soon eased after around 30 minutes. I can move my arms to reach out and do things too which is great as I wasn’t expecting to be able to do much this early and my left breast still has the most discomfort/ tenderness especially at the armpit area but its tolerable.
The slight heaviness on my chest and sternum has eased but both breasts still cone like and swollen. Every now and then i get twinges on both breasts and my incisions are starting to feel itchy at times. I can also start to see a small area of bruising appear just above the dressing on my left insicion and i have slight loss of sensation over the left breast compared to the right but i think this is fairly common from reading other people’s experiences.
I have no concerns so far and think everything seems how it should be which is perfect and i will be having a virtual post op check up with a nurse on Tuesday through zoom, i think the dressings are to come off then so she can see if im healing ok. This would usually be done at the clinic but due to the current situation regarding covid the clinic has changed this to limit the footfall through the clinic and unnecessary travel.
Very happy with my journey and surgery outcome so far and cannot wait to see my final outcome in a few months time when my new boobies settle.
At 3 days post op there is no new pain/discomfort or any new changes. Still swollen, tight and cone like. I have managed to take a bath and wash my hair. Felt very strange without the sports bra, like my implants could just fall out lol.. and i did light duties around the house myself as well. I felt i could have managed these earlier but thought I shouldn’t exert or push things too far, so left them until 3 days post op. After doing all these things though i did feel quite tired and took a nap. Feeling very bloated and look about 2 months pregnant too but otherwise still feeling great.
I know everyone will recover differently and have different experiences/pain tolerances but i do wonder if the smaller implant does make the recovery kinder...
I have also been taking vitamin C supplements 2 weeks before surgery and will continue these to maybe 2 weeks post op, along with arnica montana and Bromelain. Maybe these supplements have helped my recovery too or maybe my recovery was always going to go well, but who knows!
I will try to keep the rest of my journey updated and best of luck if your considering starting your BA journey too.
