I've just recently joined realself.
I have a breast augmentation scheduled for August 18, 2020! My doctor and I have had a virtual consultation via zoom and phone call. She was very easy to speak with. We went ahead and scheduled my preop and also my surgery.
This procedure is something I have dreamed about ever since I can remember. I set a goal after I got married to save up for my implants. And with the help of my husband I can continue forward with this.
I currently either wear a 32A / med sports bra or no bra at all. Im 5'7" 120lbs. I have very broad shoulders.
I am looking to reach a very full C cup if not a D cup. If all goes as planned the choices are-
--under the muscle, round, silicone, high profile, inframmamary incisions.
I have my preop on the 11th of August and will update once that happens. This is also when I get to meet Dr. Holland in person.

For your body time I strongly encourage you to go with C instead of D

Yes agreed! After the drop and fluff I like the fullness of a solid c cup

So excited but more nervous then I Thought I'd be lol been wanting for years. But I've gained a few pounds so looks like I have boobs lol but when I lose weight and where I wanna be they get pretty small. So I'm starting to eat better and after I heal I'll start to workout. Hope they won't look to big and will be amazing :)

With your body type I would go C for sure but it's definitely your choice!! Good luck!

After i gave birth to my daughter i was a D for the longest time. I was so happy having larger breats. I am aiming to be close to this. I go in on August 11th to choose my size. I'm very excited to try on all the options.

I was a double d when I was breast feeding so I think that's why I could go larger and be fine. Can't wait till healed and see what size I actually am :) excited for you as well :)

Ya I don't even need to take ibuprofen it's awesome. My armpit area is sore that's it my incisions I don't feel either. My boobs feel heavy but not crazy. I feel like I could go out for dinner and do stuff lol but don't wanna push it. Just relaxing watching movies :) I think over the muscle is a little less painful then under I've heard. But makes sense.

From after having 3 boob jobs, go as big as you can for the first one.

Thank you for the advice! I'd def rather wake up too big rather than too small
User Avatar

Exactly. They always seem big right after you get them done and for a few months after. Then after a few months most of the swelling is gone. And they seem smaller. I always say go as big as you can every time because then you don’t worry later that you should’ve gone bigger
July 4, 2020
I agree I’m going on the 3rd one myself go bigger than what your thinking so your not disappointed both jobs I had done I wish I would have gone bigger now I have a saline implant rupture and having it taken out and going bigger July 23rd

I think a good indicator of what they looked like pregnant. If you have a before pic, pregnant, and then an idea of size you'd be amazed on how similar they turn out.

this is my before picture. info: 5'7" 135lbs. breastfed one child. bra size maybe 32a? not exactly sure because i don't always wear bras. and when i do they just don't feel like they fit right anyway.
i have my BA next month and i am getting very excited. i took two weeks off from work. My job requires upper body strength, with all types of lifting. i pray i am able to go back and feel reasonable after my surgery. with going under the muscle i anticipate a longer recovery. and with me going from A to C/D cup that will play a factor in recovery time too.

I had my BA back in middle of March. I only took 2 weeks off and wish I would have took more honestly. My job requires lifting, raising my arms over my head and bending. All the above was painful for me for a while. My surgeons restrictions for the first 2 weeks was to not lift, pull or push more then a gallon of milk. After 2 weeks, up to the 8 week mark it was no more than 20lbs. Lifting just 10lbs was very uncomfortable and hurt in my opinion. Also my 1st week back I was so exhausted even with taking it easy at work and following my restrictions. You also don't want to exhaust yourself after surgery. You want to heal properly so you don't have any underlaying issues that may require more surgeries. I took vitamin c to boost my immune system. (Just an option for you) I went under the muscle like you are doing. I was around your size starting off and went with 340cc. That was the absolute biggest they could fit inside, so my breast were super tight and hard after surgery. My breast now have dropped and my skin has soften quiet a bit from when I first got them so it's not bad lifting items or pulling down heavy doors which my job requires. It still squeezes the implant but it doesn't hurt l, just feels very weird. (Biggest down fall going under the muscle for myself ) Im hoping I get use to it. I do know I have lost quiet a bit of arm strength also. :( Just tho I would tell you my experience. Hope it helps. :) Good luck on you the surgery and hope it all goes smoothly for you!! Xo

wow that all was so helpful! and yes seriously going back to work has me so nervous. i have a very good team so if i start to feel uncomfortable i know they will step in. and also the getting used to the muscle squeezing the implant. thats going to be weird!! i am def interested in hearing more about that if you ever feel like getting into more details. i have heard a few people comment how awkward it feels when they work out. (i do not work out). lol but i know with some movements im bound to feel this too

It def feels super weird with boobs for the first few weeks. That feeling passes with time though. Just don’t rush anything with excessive movement post op and you’ll be back to normal sooner than later!
