So as much as I love them and as much as I have always wanted them, I will be removing them soon. Breast Implant Illness is absolutely real. And although not everyone who gets implants suffers from it, some do. And a lot of others just never connect it to their implants and live with multiple idiopathic illnesses for years because they don't know it's their implants. About a month after implantation, i got sick which i thought was a cold or covid. Well i got tested and it was neither. Ive been coughing for the past 4 months with phlegm / mucus that doctos cant diagnose. Ive been to the ER multiple times. Everything comes up normal. As of now the list of BII symptoms is pretty long.
-Cough with phlegm
-Intense brain fog sometimes to the point i can remember things i need to do
-gum and entire teeth aches
-gum peeling
-lymphnode pains with bumps underskin in armpits
-body odor
-yeast infections
-lower WBC
- joint pain
-fatigue
-photosensitivity
-anxiety
-sleep disturbance
-depression
-anxiety to where i need to take meds
-eye discharge / constant red eyes
-shortness of breath
-rashes/urticaria that move around different spots on body
-extreme hair loss
-inability to lose weight even tho i intermittent fast for a minimum of 18 hours a day sometimes more
I'm sure there are many I missed. prior to this, i was extremely healthy. Strong immune system the whole nine. Now it takes long for cuts and bruises to heal. BII if you arent aware is basically a immunologic response from your body to foreign objects ( the implants ) or an allergic reaction to silicone. And yes even if you have saline implants like i do , the shells of the implants (outter portion) is made from silicone. The body basically starts attacking itself and the implants. Its hard to talk to most surgeons about this because they outright deny that it exists. Its not a highly studied illness but luckily more and more doctors are starting to become educated on it. The FDA is also starting to slowly acknowledge it by putting black box warnings ( Black box warnings, also called boxed warnings, are required by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for certain medications that carry serious safety risks. Often these warnings communicate potential rare but dangerous side effects, or they may be used to communicate important instructions for safe use of the drug or prosthetics). Its still worded in a way that minimizes the severity of BII but it mentions "systemic inflammation or connective tissue disease. And if we took any kind of biology or A&P class we know our bodies are almost entirely connective tissues.
I was lucky to stumble on articles and other testimonies of others who have implants and suffer from BII symptoms early . There are those who go DECADES with being sick from their implants and never do they put it together that its their implants. Do your due diligence and research if you are considering breast implants. I am still in shock that they are so toxic.

Photo update
On a good note , they dropped and fluffed nicely. I can’t sleep on my stomach anymore as I’m paranoid they’ll rupture and feels like alot of pressure on them. I also use a breast pillow at night for sleeping that helps keep them separated so I don’t develop chest wrinkles . It is photographed

Breast Implant Illnesss Symptoms
I know not everyone, especially doctors acknowledge or even believe in BII (breast implant illness) So this is solely my opinion and symptoms . I am a little more than 3 months post op. Saline , under the muscle , nipple incision . I went from an A to D , DD depending what bra I use . Lately or for a little over a month I’ve been having some incredibly strange symptoms:
Brain Fog / confusion
Hair loss
Rashes
Vertigo
Bacterial infections
And a cough with phlegm that will not go away about 2 months now. I’ve barely started my journey into seeing what is wrong . I went to urgent care and they said my lungs were totally fine . I was given antibiotics just in case . Took the full course and no improvement from my chest / lung issue . I am not a medical professional so i have no idea what it is , it very well may not be related but I know a lot of women who have had the same and worse symptoms because of their implants . It may be an immunological response to implants and the silicone shell they are ALL MADE FROM (regardless if the fill is saline or silicone) as they are seen by the body as a foreign object . I will continue to update as I know more and start scheduling doctors appointments. If anyone has or is suffering from multi symptoms or has an opinion please reach out

From the reading I've done and hearing opinions from medical medical professionals; if an individual has an existing autoimmune condition then their body would theoretically have a hard time with any implantation (breast, joint replacement, etc.)
Furthermore, silicone shells that are non-textured have not been shown to be reabsorped by the body. (Textured implants on the other hand, have been linked to a small % of patients developing a specific type of Lymphoma).
Please see your primary care physician and have full labs done!
Any of those symptoms you're experiencing could be coming from an imbalance from any system of the body. I'm sorry you've not been feeling well and I hope you feel better in the near future.
