Scars, post op day 26
Just a couple days shy of being 4 weeks post op. Looking forward to being able to work out again!
Posting some photos of my scars - it's amazing how great they look so soon! This whole time I've had minimal to no bruising and they've been pretty easy to deal with. I'm wearing a thin layer of Scar Fade scar gel (provided by Dr C) then putting a strip of Mepitac silicone sheet taping on top. This has worked well for me. I think the silicone gel helps keep it moist and the silicone tape locks that moisture in plus protects against any rubbing from bra or clothing. The tape was around $15 from Amazon and will last me a long time - it's 1.6" wide so I just cut the strips in half!
I do have some lumps at the ends of my incision so doing some light circular massaging to help break up scar tissue from internal stitches.
