Day 9/10 post op
Very petite! Hope they don’t shrink too much after swelling goes down. Feeling a lot better, but taking care of kids is no joke. Was just able to take kid out of crib but only because he stood on a stool inside of his crib and I brought him really close to my body and kinda hugged him out. Feel like I’m on house arrest because I can drive but can’t put my kid in car seat. You wold think...take a walk! But no! Can’t push a stroller (or put my kids in). I have a 3 year old and 1 year old. I had a lot of help the first week, some help the beginning of this week, and now it’s all me. I don’t regret the BA at all. Just wish I did it sooner so I only had myself to think about during recovery.
Post Op day 3
Starting to turn a corner. Took my first shower. Starting to back off Percocet. Happy with how they look. Right looks a little more swollen and is more tender but I think they’ll settle really well and look very natural. Ativan helps me sleep at night.
Surgery day!
Made it to the other side! Everything went as expected. No complications. So bizarre waking up in recovery. Who knows what I said to the nurses. I remember being talkative, and it was reassuring seeing a familiar face in my pre-op nurse. Felt a little nauseous an hour post-op, needed some IV Zofran which helped a little. Wanted some pain meds but had to wait until I got home and was less nauseous. The drive made me a title sleepy. It’s been a long day. NPO since 6 AM, arrived at hospital at 1215, registered and went to pre-op area, 3 IV attempts (I was cold and dehydrated....a heating blanket worked), my BP was very low, like low 80 over 50s but my baseline is 95/60 and I was dehydrated, then wheeled down to OR by 3, and didn’t start until about 3:30. I was so hungry my tummy was growling and I wanted to get the show on the road. My anesthesiologist and nurses were great. Met with the doctor in the O.R. and she made a few small markings. Anesthesiologist told me he was giving my “the good stuff” and off to sleep I went. Definitely have opted for my Percocet as I am very tight and sore. Pain probably a 5. Setting alarm to wake up in middle of night to take next dose. Started antibiotics, have to take one then too. I’m wrapped In bandage and don’t have a good idea of how implants look. Very excited to see tomorrow!
