It’s been a while! UPDATE 2
Continued…
*3 It’s hard to tell which photos are the before and after without checking which was has the bra strap poking out! I haven’t taken photos in this bralet for many many weeks now but they are obviously looking even more natural and settled in it now than these photos here, even so I’m still impressed with the results then, and with time (and with the correct after care!) they can only improve
I have high impact sports bra’s, both from bravissimo, and they are super comfy! (Will take photos at later date!)
I had to get an underwired bikini from asos in a 30DD, as I couldn’t find any 28 bands anywhere that were comfy. Will have to move the clasps to tighten the band a bit but it’s a good fit and it’s so nice to finally feel comfortable in swimwear! (Will take photos at later date!)
*4 I’m 19 weeks post op (4 months on the 6th Jan) and recently went to an event for the first time since covid began! (Donna worry we all had to provide covid passes and proof of negative lateral flows!) I loved how natural and discreet my boobs are, this was the size I was with all the padding but it was always such a stress to find something that would disguise it all. This time I could actually wear something without worrying about that, although I didn’t my choose something that was excessively booby because I didn’t want to go from covering up forever to BAM BOOBS But I love how perfectly proportioned they are to my body, these are what I should have developed before being ill in my teens. They’re not big, not small, but still small for my small frame, hahaha! Sometimes I look in the mirror and just think “aw they’re so cute and small and perky, but not ‘small’ in the small for my body sense, but small in the way I’m small and finally have the proportions to match”
I also recently took a picture in a top I LOVE, but always had to pad out with bras and bralets to hide the lack of cleavage and now here I am being able to actually wear it without worrying about that! *5
I still sleep with the same pillow set up as pictured in a previous update to stop me from rolling onto my front. I’m pretty acaistom to sleeping on my back now, but tend to sleep slightly propped on the side now that I can, lying on my side feels fine but I just know I’m likely to roll the wrong way if I’m not careful!
I can honestly say hands down this was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I’d been looking to this for 5 years and I definitely did it at the right time, I’d contacted the surgeon 2 years prior but something just didn’t feel ready yet. Now I finally feel like my inner femininity matches the outer shell haha! And I got back what was “robbed” of me by the anorexia in a sense. It’s freed up so many opportunities that before I could still do but it would include a lot of distress, or at worst it would stop me from partaking entirely.
THANK YOU TO THOSE WHO’VE INTERACTED AND SAID MY UPDATES ARE HELPFUL, IT’S LOVELY TO HEAR

It’s been a while! 4 months, 2 weeks post op UPDATE 1
Hi! In summary things are great!
I’ll number each picture and section so you know what I’m referencing/talking about
*1 - after care item’s I’ve been using.
Hibiscrub (antiseptic body wash in shower, I used this before anyway because it’s great for acne, and I continue using it still, in regards to the op I only needed it for a specified time).
Eye ointment (antiseptic I put on my scars as explained in earlier posts for a set number of weeks).
Coconut oil (put on my chest every night, this stuff gets everywhere honestly, a little goes a long way! I have to put kitchen role on my chest before putting my surgical bra on at night because it’s so slimy *1a).
Keli cote scar gel (great for scars, my scars are already so faint and I have to put this on for a year).
Scar tape (not specified by surgeon, when I had to put the ointment and scar gel on I used cotton pads as the tape wouldn’t stick it was so slippy, but without the ointment I can stick them over. The kelicote is still pretty slimy and can transfer and stain clothes so it’s just something else to protect the scars, let them heal well and not have stained bra’s! *1b)
These are my instructions for the next year…
For 12 months (7th Dec 2021 - 7th Dec 2022)
- Scar gel - Keli-cote gel (On scars, Twice daily, cover with scar tape)
- moisturise chest with organic oil (Once daily)
- under-wired bra (day)
- non-wired bra (night)
- underwired bikini
- High impact, level 4 sports bra when doing exercise
- Sleep on side or back
- If sunbathing cover scars with plasters or spf50
I do have pretty sensitive nipples compared to before the op and a little numbness on the under boob still but it’s improving with time
I was a 28D before *2a and I’ve gone up 2 cup sizes to a 28E *2b.
*3 This bralet is what I used to wear over my 2 sizes bigger bra, and it was the result I was aiming for and showed the surgeon. How incredibly similar are these results!
